The communication war very good and helpful! Breakfast was delicious and the staff took into account special requests (allergies etc.). Lafyu is a lovely place to stay in nothern Bali calming down after busy days in Ubud and Canguu. Just 7 minutes to walk to the entrance of AlingAling and a nice restaurant nearby where you can have lunch and dinner with a view :-)

In general there are not many restaurant oppotunities in this area - be prepared!

It was simply amazing. The service was above and beyond. Whatever we needed it was provided, we even asked for a massage and the lovely host did that for us. I would highly recommend this place. The view is amazing and the surroundings beautiful. A peaceful gem!

Such a beautiful and well kept hotel right in the middle of nature with stunning views of rice paddies. The staff are so lovely and helpful, breakfast choices were varied and they can also make you lunch/dinner upon request. The shower was nice and warm too. If you love nature and don’t mind a few insects this place is for you! The village it’s in is small, but there are a few restaurants and marts 10 min walk away. They will also arrange motorbike hire for you, Lovina beach is just 20 mins away. Can’t recommend this place enough!

The wifi sometimes cuts out but this is totally expected when you stay somewhere remote, so wasn’t a problem at all.

Really basic breakfasts Little bit pricy dinner ( paid extra) They are saying no aircon needed as this construction of the house is good enough for air circulation. Not true. Without aircon con you have to choose between having an open window for a night and get eaten by mosquitos or close the window and had a humidifier on for a night not helping at all.

I love the room with traditional Indonesian touch, wooden and an open air bathroom. I had my own terrace and the view was amazing

I think, it's not only mosquitos but small insects bite me at night especially on the bed, it's really itchy.

it was an amazing location with a amazing view. the pool was like a infinity pool overlooking the ricefields and sunset which was such a beautiful colour. the room was like a little hut and you have bean bags, hammock and a kitchen outside with shelter from the mosquitoes. the breakfast was lovely you can eat outside looking at the view. it’s like your own mini garden

Staff is super friendly. had a very good massage. it’s a very unique place with lovely staff how show you Bali in a authentic and unique way!

The staff at lafyu house are SO sweet and caring. When I cut my foot they give me so much care, abive and beyond. On 2 occasions they loan me cash money because I couldn't find an ATM. They treat you like family, you have nothing to worry about staying here. The gardens and pool area's are so beautifull, the pictures don't do justice! Especially the pool overlooking the rice fields where I had my morning coffee. My cottage was cosy and secluded with a large porch, the breakfast at my garden table was super good too with fresh fruit and juice. All was very comfortable and beautiful. Will definitly stay here again if I return to Bali.

There was a glitch in booking.com mistakenly marked the property with air-conditioning, brought up certain expectation on facilities, but hostess very kindly provided us with an additional portable air-conditioner for our stay and the weather around end of Nov was ok without A/C The room was not big and mainly occupied by a large bed, but the storage space was really small and not very practical Hot water supply for shower was very limited

Just to clarify. You have 1 big house with private pool and garden, and you have 2 smaller houses with another shared garden and another small pool. We stayed for 3 nights. It’s a really nice place with a very beautiful garden where you feel like a local in your own village house. You also have a great view from the pool where you can chill after exploring the surrounding area. The stuff is also VERY friendly and helpful.

This place is of course not for everyone! 1. Accommodation: Very simple with very small room and not very comfortable bed. You don’t have enough space to put your things. It is very dark in the room. At night you don’t have enough air and it is very hot (but you can’t open the doors because outside is pretty loud (cats and geckos singing all night). 2. Bathroom is open and I don’t know what would you do if outside is raining. Also, you have every night big geckos on the wall that sing pretty loud. 3. Breakfast was OK, but for dinner I would recommend visiting some of the warungs nearby, because here the portions are VERY small and expensive. 4. Pool is small and unfortunately dirty. We didn’t care so much, but I think they should clean it more regularly! You also have this big weird uncomfortable wooden chair/sunbed. They should put some new sunbeds.. 5. The biggest problem here are the cats!!! First night we couldn’t sleep because the owner’s cat was constantly meowing (extremely annoying) all over the place. Then she/he was fighting other cats that were coming over the whole night!!! On the next day the staff was really nice and moved the cat in some other house. We could finally sleep, but still..from time to time you have the neighboring cats that were coming and again fighting and meowing all night… Either buy some nice earplugs or prepare for sleepless nights!

We had an amazing and unforgettable time at Lafyu Bali. The location is in the midst of the rice fields and palm trees with the most mesmerizing views of the mountains and ocean too. It is very quaint and gives one a true Bali feel and experience, whilst being close to the seaside, the city and only a short-walk away from the must-visit Aling Aling falls. The staff is incredibly caring and sweet and truly makes you feel at home. They took such good care of us and provided wonderful breakfasts and dinners to our wishes. The overall garden and house have a true Bali feel to them but are nothing short of comfort and luxury, such as a very comfortable bed, outdoor shower and good internet. It is the best place to wind down after a day of adventures and exploring. We truly enjoyed our stay at Lafyu and can fully recommend to anyone to stay here when visiting the North of Bali, you will not regret it. Our personal favorite stay of all our various stays throughout our month-long trip in Bali.

Beautiful people inside-out and they are there to help you with anything you need without any intrusion. Expect to literally wake up with the chickens in the morning, have a walk to the most amazing waterfalls in the vicinity and enjoy the afternoon with a wonderful massage. We stayed in the separate house with a private pool and if it wasn’t for my son’s desires for adventures I’d have been happy to stay on the veranda and in the wonderful garden all day. I absolutely loved this place and can’t praise it enough, but seeing as I’m seriously thinking about settling around here for my retirement, you might understand.

Love the amazing staff working here. Wifi is a little patchy. Host was excellent at communicating. Breakfast is okay for the price. We also got foot massages here after coming back from waterfalls, it was super relaxing. Nice garden and green sceneries all around the place. 15 minute walk to Aling Aling Waterfall which is nice.

Pool needs cleaning and a new shower head. I’m not sure I like the fact that we have to pay cash/credit card at the property when we already have the card on file.

Perfect for renting a motorbike and exploring nearby waterfalls (aling aling is 2 minutes down the road!), The staff were very kind, breakfast was awesome and the garden is very beautiful.

The pool was very dirty so we couldn’t use it. Also all night every night there are stray cats trying to kill eachother which is very noisy and the cabin walls are paper-thin so you can hear absolutely everything going on outside. The bathroom had a lot of ants/bugs which made me scared to shower and the room was not the most clean, but also not the worst. I do recommend this place if you’re on a budget but bring ear plugs and don’t expect luxury!!!
