A really nice stay.

A hotel in the old part of Pula, a very short walk to the amphitheatre and other Pula attractions. Yes, the building is old, hence the facilities are somewhat dated (but worked). The owners were really nice and helpful. My wife and I stayed twice at the hotel for a few days and wouldn’t hesitate staying again.

Great location. Directly next to the main attraction Pule Arena! The staff is extremely friendly and available for all questions. Especially the lady at the front desk.

The parking lot is a good 10 minutes away from the hotel. Access to the hotel is extremely impractical for staying with luggage because unfortunately there are a lot of stairs to the entrance, so it is complicated to get to the hotel with more luggage. Also, the breakfast room is on the ground floor of the hotel, but you can get to it by leaving the hotel, which is not very practical in rainy conditions. And finally, I have to comment that the bathroom smells very humid.

Great location, friendly small hotel, clean comfortable rooms

The hotel has a great location, just steps from the Roman Amphitheatre, which is quite fabulous; steps from a garden and the sea front; and about 10 minutes walk to shops, restaurants, bars on the main tourist road. The hotel is in an old building, which has pros and cons, but it is quite charming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking worked just fine - we pulled in to drop off bags and it was just a very short walk to the car park (outdoor, up the road). There was excellent air conditioning in our room. The bed was comfortable. Despite the central location, there was not a lot of traffic noise and we found the hotel quiet.

The style, decor, furnishings are perhaps typical for a 3 star hotel - absolutely fine, but not amazing. If you have mobility issues, you should know the hotel is located by some old steps and the entrance to the hotel is up a flight of steps. The breakfast was fine - it had enough of the basics set out as a buffet that you could have something for most tastes, but it was limited and perhaps quite typical of a 3 star hotel. This is quite a small hotel; there isn’t a lounge or a bar where you could sit comfortably for an hour or two - this occurred to us because it rained hard (late July visit) and there wasn’t really anywhere to go but to sit on our beds in our rooms.

This is my 2nd time staying at the hotel. The hotel staff are super friendly and kind. The breakfast was great and the rooms are nice too. The location is great too. It’s very close to the colosseum and it’s also close to the main town. I’d definitely stay here again when I return to Pula and this beautiful country.

I felt that I mattered ,I was happy & safe.

The location is very good,close to the waterfront,city centre & bus station .The staff are very friendly .The breakfast is fine. The rooms are clean,simply furnished .They have airconditioning ,& a good shower room. This is the 3rd year I have stayed at the Scaletta,I would be happy to stay again. I feel safe & happy when I am there.

Location and excellent staff . Counter staff friendly and even make us a couple of coffees whilst we were sitting outside. Also as we departed at 5 am one morning he organised for a takeaway breakfast to be made available

Could be better value,that doesn't necessarily mean cheap,but the place was a bit tired.Shower was draped over the corner bath,had to hold with one hand whils sat down. Not the end of the world but could be a problem for people with limited mobility.

Very nice old world charm

This staff was very accomodating and receptive, we had significant changes to our plans and they met us at the taxi and helped us into the hotel well after midnight. This was the only location we have stayed at that the thermostat was fully available to us. This is very great.

The only issue we could state was that the room we were in didnt have great blackout to the outside lighting. This was a minor issue though.

Perfect location

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect for sightseeing. Parking is easy as they have a location nearby which is very important especially during the busy months. Parking on the street is very expensive in comparison. Breakfast was good and the room was good too. The staff are more than helpful which can make or break a holiday.

Bed linen might need updating and also reception area.

A comfortable hotel with lovely staff - ideal location to explore central Pula

This is a great place to explore central Pula. Its central, next to the Roman coliseum and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and staff went out of their way to get vegan items for my husband. Thank you for this, very appreciated. It's quite quiet for such a central location. Room is clean and bathroom was huge.

Location is fantastic. So close to the Arena. Really close to town too without being in it , which is great as can be noisy at night if one of the special seasons is running. Lovely rooms lovely staff and excellent omelette! Second time I've stayed here and thoroughly recommend

If you are driving be aware there is only so much free parking available. But that's not the hotels fault and there are plenty of spaces if you get there in good time

Great location, Walk to everything, Good breakfast

The ladies at the reception desk were very kind and allowed us to store our bags behind the desk before check in and after check out. The hotel is in a great location for walk ability around the Old Town and area. It is 2 minutes walk from the Arena. It’s also close enough to walk to the bus station if you don’t have a lot of luggage with you. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful.
