A very convenient hotel stay close to the port of Parikia

Nice hotel but beware of terrible breakfast

This hotel is well located in Parakia, right near to the ferries, bus stop and a range of shops, cafes and restaurants. It was very convenient especially for a short stay. We had a room with a view overlooking the ferry harbour, which was a lovely view. There wasn't much of a balcony though - not much space to sit down. The room itself was pleasant, clean and comfortable, including a desk, closet, good air-conditioning and a fridge. The staff were good - we appreciated being able to leave our luggage for a few hours after check out. The hotel felt very safe and secure. We would recommend it.

The breakfast served at a nearby cafe was dreadful - it was the worst hotel breakfast we had ever seen. There was no menu, no options (not even for beverages), and only a plate with eggs, toast, yoghurt etc. It was looked very sad and was very poor quality. We barely ate anything and went elsewhere for proper breakfast and proper coffee. Instead we recommend Tami and the Ragoussis bakery - both excellent!

If you’re not a fussy traveller then you will love the location.

Location was great, the facilities let us down, it felt as though it’s in much need of maintenance and, the photos really don’t match the expectation here unfortunately. You should never use the word ‘deluxe’ in a three star rated accommodation.

Room was small initially and we asked to be loved, no ironing board, just an iron (despite asking) our beds were never made, they cleaned our bathroom but collected the garbage only. The water pressure was terrible. Just felt very run down.

Good location by the ferries

Location. Right by the ferry port. We only stayed one night as a stopover and location was perfect for that.

Beds weren’t that comfortable and the water pressure in one of our rooms was almost nonexistent. It’s a not a hotel where you want to spend a lot of time.

When I booked the site said we would have a sea view, but apparently you only have 2 units with sea views? You should make this evident to guests when they book

an average hotel by the port

Good location close to the port. Helpful reception and easy communication before arrival. They gave us a bigger room, when the first one had been too small for us.

First room was nice and clean with a good view from the balcony, but there was no space for two suitcases and the wardrobe was full of blankets and pillows, so there was no space to put anything. Second room had four beds and was naturally good sizewise, but it was on the backside, where the balconies are full of pigeon droppings. The shower cubicle was tiny and one could not bend in there, water pressure was not very strong. No buffet for breakfast, one gets a rich plate though plus a very weak coffee.

Outer entrance full of litter - not very welcoming. The downstairs toilets were often locked. Housekeeping failed to replace bedroom consumables (including glasses and handtowels). Coffee sachets were limited. The soap dispenser in the bathroom didn't work. Larger people would have extreme difficulty in the shower cubicle.

Convenient to the ferry port with helpful welcoming staff

The location of the hotel is excellent for those either gettin off or on a ferry as it is right there at the ferry port. The reception staff are welcoming and helpful and the room was clean. The hotel had no problem with an earlier check in and were helpful with advice and directions.

The hotel room was quite “ bare bones” and is satisfactory rather than good. It is adequate for a one night stay however I would say the basic nature of the hotel is not reflected in the price even when booked quite early.

Was nice enough but definitely needed some renovations done to tidy it up

The location was good and the staff were friendly

Our bed was super uncomfortable, and the toilet seat was broken and barely attached to the toilet. And the door out to the balcony was really dodgy so we didn’t use it at all. The view we had was looking at someone’s roof that was covered in rubbish too.

The staff were exceptional, very helpful and so friendly. The location was perfect - directly across from the port so made day trips very easy. The little hidden streets of Parika were beautiful.

Perfect stay in Paros

We stayed for 1 night when we first arrived to Paros! The location is literally opposite the port which is so handy!! The staff were really lovely & the bed was very comfy! WiFi was also great! Would be happy staying here again if we return to Paros!

Perfect location. Loved Paros and the hotel made its extra comfortable and enjoyable.

Loved this location and the room was perfect providing space, view and comfort. A lift provided ease of access to our 2nd floor room. Cafes at the front of hotel was perfect for morning or afternoon coffee. The cafe like a local favourite so the prices were good too! Round the corner there's a little hole in the wall place selling spinach and fettach pies, etc; but again the local place out front has all these local treats and more.

It was my second time that I came to Hotel Kontes! The staff was very friendly, the rooms are big enough and clean - the location is 10/10 . Hotel Kontes is an family business hotel in the heart of Paros ! The owners help us again to everything about our hospitality and about island ! Only 2’ walk from the port and from the center ! Thanks for everything!
