Leeds Castle Holiday Cottages

It was cute and cosy and very quiet

As someone who was travelling for nearly 6 weeks I could not recommend this place. It is great for an overnight stay when you don’t have a lot of luggage but as we had big bags we had to carry them up stairs. With the bathroom downstairs it meant going up and down the stairs regularly. Because bathrooms have no power points I had to do my hair upstairs but there was no mirror other than a. Small round one. There is not much room downstairs so you really have to keep everything upstairs. This was probably not the right accommodation for our stay. The unit was decorated with Christmas lights but they would only work if you unplug the TV. A double adapter would have been good. Please note however because the downstairs was so small the Tv was on a table that faced the front door and kitchen cupboards so if you wanted to watch TV whilst sitting on the lounge then you had to move the tv table which only reduced the floor space even more. To sit at the dining table you had to move the things off the table and move it so you could open it up. It all became too hard so we ended up not eating there at all

Stayed at the Keepers house for a week. Full amenities provided, lots of towels, full kitchen with range cooker, gas stove, microwave, two fridges, clothes washer, games, kids books list goes on and on. This is truly paradise in the country. Keepers House is far from the noise and crowds of the main castle areas. If you are looking for quiet (only sounds you hear are birdsong, water flowing, wind in the trees), peace, tranquility, and dark skies at night(great stargazing) then this is the place! River is right in front of the house. Full of fish if you are a fisherman. Great place to start your day with prayer, meditation, yoga etc on patio in front of house with River right there providing relaxing sounds. Great start to a busy day filled with sightseeing. Great place to return to in the evening for rest and rejuvenation. Loved it will return again!

The place felt like "home" and the staff were amazing. I fell and dislocated my knee whilst on site and the staff couldn't have been more lovely

Need a light at front of property at night. Very slippery mat by french window in lounge.
