The staff were friendly and allowed us to check in a bit early, which we appreciated. Overall, I would recommend this place to stay. The room was a little small, and the double bed setup might be a bit risky for kids when climbing up and down.

The staff helped us to carry the luggage. I requested lower floor and it was accommodated. A decent stay with my elderly parents but a bit of walking.

The staff are kind and helpful. The room is a little small, but still acceptable. There is no housekeeping provided for a 2-night stay. If Tokyo is your final stop and you’re assigned a room on level 4 or 5, be prepared to carry your luggage down yourself.

Dear fellow tourist/friends looking for a a hotel in Tokyo, particularly families with young children. I am writing this for your attention and consideration My family of 5 (with 3 young kids) visited Tokyo during the March 2026 and we found a hotel that was able to accommodate my family size. Despite the room size, the Hospitality and service standards displayed by the staff and hotel Management at Sakura Cross Ueno Okachimachi was extremely disappointing and questionable. On the day of check in, we found out that we were allocated a room on the top level, Level 5. Given that the hotel do not have an elevator, we were required to hand carry our luggages, weighing over 20KG to the top floor. Moreover, I was struggling with an arthritis pain on my foot. Following a request to relocate our family to a lower floor with the staff (who was unable to speak English and depended on a phone translator), he advised me to contact the hotel management relating the request through a WhatsApp. Upon doing so, the staff over the WhatsApp instead suggested that I made the request via the hotel staff, who had earlier spoken to me. The process was frustrating. Following my pursue of the matter with the site staff, he contacted the hotel management and surface my request through a phone call. Following the phone call, the staff informed that the managed has rejected the request. The experience haleft me considering the lack of service standards and empathy displayed by this hotel. I am left with no recourse in such a situation despite making a sincere and genuine request to the hotel. Leaving this review for any prospective guest in this hotel.
