La Métairie

The host was excellent and super helpful. One night my little girl had fever, the owner brought me a thermometer in no time and guided us about the doctor's chembers and hospitals. Kids enjoyed the play ground and feeding the chicken and sheep. There were enough garden furnitures to enjoy the sun and relax.

All the bedrooms are on the 1st floor and there were no toilet on the 1st floor. With kids and family it was quite difficult for us during the nightime. We wished there was a toilet upstairs. There was no direct access to the patio or playgound from the villa. As a result when the weather was bad we couldn't enjoy any nice view or sitting at the balcony, which was only available from the garden. Generally the view from the villa is closed and inside is quite dark even with good sunshine.

The property itself is an amazing place: a farm house that's almost 300 year old. Everything in the property worked exactly as it was supposed to and the place was spotless. There's a dedicated covered parking spot for one car and more room on the street for more if needed. The area is property location is ideal if one's agenda is visiting the Bastogne/ Ardennes history sites and has a car.

As with any house that's almost 300 year old, there are some inconveniences. All three bedrooms are upstairs, while t one bathroom in downstairs. The wifi signal is good, but limited as the walls are 2-3 feet thick. I found it optimal to use the bedroom immediately above the wifi point downstairs.

Heel gastvrije ontvangst. Het huis, het terras, de tuin, alles was perfect. Wat ons nog het meest beviel was dat het huis, ondanks de extreme hittegolf, heerlijk koel bleef op de begane grond door de dikke muren.

Voor een groep van 6 volwassenen op leeftijd zou een extra toilet of een toilet los van de badkamer geen overbodige luxe zijn. -:)

Keuken was goed uitgerust. Mooi terras De prijs is laag gehouden gezien de tekortkomingen

ER zijn 3 slaapkamers, maar om bij de tweede en derde kamer te komen moet je door de andere kamers, geen privacy. Geen toilet boven enkel een draagbaar camping toilet, dus geen privacy op dat toilet. Alleen de derde kamer heeft een lavabo. Een toilet in de badkamer voor 8 personen. Terras is niet bereikbaar van in de woning, je moet alles via een trap naar boven dragen wil je buiten eten. Voor de Wifi met je connector manueel verplaatsen van de living naar de keuken en omgekeerd Een gevaarlijke trap naar de verdieping voor wie niet goed te been is. Bovenste treden hellen af.
