Già dal sito avevamo immaginato di poter trascorrere delle vacanze in una struttura storica di charme.
Al nostro arrivo, tuttavia, abbiamo trovato una struttura curata con competenza, gusto e passione. Per ricreare una dimora di metà Ottocento, il proprietario ha impegato dieci anni di studi e lavori. Ha ricostruito con le mappe catastali la struttura originaria dell'appartamento, cercato le pavimentazioni d'epoca, riportato alla luce gli affreschi storici. E molto, molto di più.
Tutto è curato, sin nel minimo dettaglio. Per noi è stato come trovarci a casa, in assoluta tranquillità e serenità.
Ogni oggetto o finitura eccedono le dotazioni normalmente disponibili in strutture ricettive.
I letti, ad esempio, sono dotati di reti, materassi e guanciali di altissima qualità. Avendo problemi di schiena, da tempo non godevo di un riposo così sereno.
Le prime colazioni sono sublimi. Ogni giorno il proprietario, che è anche chef, organizza una colazione diversa. In genere, si ha un piatto salato che permette di esplorare la ricchissima tradizione culinaria della Regione. E ogni giorno c'è frutta fresca (le migliori e più profumate macedonie mai gustate!, ma anche frutta dell'orto di stagione), oltre a un dolce sfornato solo per gli ospiti. La crema al limone o la crema all'Aurum fatto dello chef sono una carezza.
Il proprietario è accogliente, premuroso, interessante. Ci ha introdotti alla storia e alle meraviglie dell'Abruzzo. Ci ha fatto viaggiare nelle sue ricchissime (e colte) tradizioni culinarie. Ci ha aiutati in diverse occasioni, sempre con una delicatezza che lascia il segno.
Letteralmente nulla.
Il centro di Montesilvano Colle è delizioso, ma, se non si dispone di una macchina, non molto ben collegato.
Suggerisco quindi di venire con la propria vettura o di affittarne una. In Stazione o in aeroporto è possibile farlo.

For those wishing to live a unique experience where time seems to have stopped, this historical house, cradle of style and beauty, is the ideal place. Reading one of the old books available in the beautiful living room, in the diaphanous light filtered by precious curtains, resting in a bed of old times, with the remote sound of church bells and cicadas in the background, taking a bath in the stylish bathtub or even preparing breakfast in the colorful kitchen where every detail belongs to the past, is priceless. This dream formula has been made possible thanks to the extreme amiability and availability of Franco, a host with a refined taste and a gentle soul.
