Perfect location and rare find in pooley bridge

Wouldn't go back
The location of the cottage was amazing.
No email was sent to me for the code to get into the property even though i emailed about this. In the end i had to call cottages.com (who i didnt book through) and ask for this. The beds sheets were unclean on 1 of the single beds and there was dog hair along the skirting boards. The shower is boiling hot making It difficult to shower in. Also the carbon monoxide alarm went off at 4am in the morning. We found difficult to get through to anyone for help and the emergency number is only 9-5 Monday to Friday. Booking.com is 24 hours but I had to call 3 different times as they couldn't understand my issue. Being told 1 time to hang up and see if i could get through to someone else who could try and help. The gas engineer come out and put a do not use sticker on both the log burners and the boiler and it was the log burner that was causing the issue. Not great and if this cottages is used for lettings feel like this should be getting serviced and checked. I'm yet to hear from the owners about this matter...

Pooley Bridge recommendation
Location was good. Nice conservatory and garden, would be lovely in summer. Enjoyed the wide variety of birds on the feeders. The 2 living rooms were a good size. One of the best cottages we've stopped in.
The downstairs toilet diaphragm needs replacing as it doesn't flush very well. Low cold water pressure.

Lovely Cottage - Great Location
Location was superb. Pooley Bridge has many amenities. Pier and Lake a short walk away. Cottage is well equipped. Bedrooms are a good size. Beds are VERY comfy. Large bathroom. Log burning fire was great addition. Lovely outside spaces. Quiet location. Parking for 2 cars (a real bonus given limited parking in village). Cosy feel to cottage
Shower needs attention - either freezing cold or scalding hot. Dishwasher did not work. Lounge a bit cramped for 6 people

An excellent stay in a beautiful part of the Lake District.
Location of cottage is great. Short walk to village and lakeside. Walking on local fells good as well.
