Vila Dora

To był niezapmniany pobyt i możliwość poznania wspaniałych ludzi. Dora jest osobą niezwykle gościnną i otwartą, bardzo pogodną i tak jak wszyscy Mołdawianie których spotkaliśmy, bardzo życzliwą. Doskonała kuchnia domowa przygotowywana z własnych produktów. Mieliśmy do dyspozycji dwa połączone pokoje z bardzo wygodnym łóżkami i bardzo czystą pościelą. Dom położony jest w bardzo cichej okolicy, której nie zakłóca żaden hałas. Bardzo blisko płynie Dniestr i jest Monastyr, który warto zobaczyć. Polecam to miejsce i jej właścicielkę, bo gwarantuję, że zostaniecie ugoszczeni jak w żadnym hotelu czy pensjonacie.

Dora is so nice and hospitable. So happy to have guests over and share her home, food and home made alcohol.

What a nice stay, it reall felt like visiting family. Whoever wants to have the experience of staying in rural Moldova should go there. The place and the food was great. Even though there was a language barrier we made everythinf work with translate apps or calling other people to translate. Price list for meals to be found in every room, so its on you to decide for it or not. But I do definetly recommend to choose it as all the ingredients are local and the food is prepared with passion and love, you will not get anything close to that in western Europe or wherever you come from. If I return to Moldova I will 100% visit Villa Dora again. Only thing is you probably need a car to get there and there is not that much going on in the village. But I hope anybody booking a stay here knows what to expect. Thank you very much for the nice time, it was wonderful.

The place is actually on the opposite site of the road just around the corner and not exactly where Google Maps etc. point at. Just have a picture of the place downloaded on your phone.

Tanya, the owner's neighbor left in charge of the place, was very efficient, helpful and friendly with what she could do

the place is currently in a pretty abandoned state with only a neighbor left to open the door to visitors, as the owner is away. very cute house and setting, but unwelcoming feel, and overpriced lunch and dinner option (200 lei, insane). very hard to reach on public transportation, and especially misleading to advertise as a point from which to visit the Japca monastery and to go swim in the river, as Japca village is up on a hill away from both - and actually also quite far from the village center, where the product shop is (45 min climb in unsignalized path from the monastery/shore). overall would only recommend to those who come driving a private car and speak a language with which they can get around talking to locals (only help available as owner's gone)
