About this house rental
Ideal location to visit the city center of Bordeaux and to go to the Atlantic beach without a car. The house is 1 minute walk from the tram B stop which serves the city center (3 stops), the direct train to Arcachon, university campus. Tram B has the tourist route of Bordeaux: Place de la Victoire, Musée d'Aquitaine, Hôtel de Ville, the Grand Théâtre, place Quinconce, Tourist office, the quays of the Garonne, the Cité du Vin and the seaside town in by the ocean, Arcachon (via Pessac). Just in front of the house there are the bus 9 return stops to Bordeaux train station (in 6-10 minutes you are at the station). Every 45 minutes there are trains to the Atlantic Coast. No need for a car to visit the city center of Bordeaux, the Atlantic Coast, Arcachon, Biarritz, Basque Country. You avoid traffic jams in high season. The stone house has a beautiful landscaped garden of 100 m², a large terrace with fountain, barbecue and upstairs a balcony of 18 m².
The bedroom I offer you has French doors that open onto the balcony with a view of the garden, in a peaceful setting. Queen Size bed, high quality bedding, large modern shower room, dressing room, 2 toilets, a separate bathroom. Private access to the shower, WC, 18 m² balcony with garden furniture, parasol. Full access to the 30 m² terrace with fountain, barbecue, garden furniture, access to the garden, greenery, trees (olive, magnolia).
Saint Genès in Bordeaux is a popular district. At 200 m you have all the amenities nearby, small shops, bakery, pastry shop, restaurants, shops, caterers, banks, hairdressers, pharmacies, doctors. A supermarket is 500 m walk (a tram stop) from the house.

The owner of the house, Flo, was very helpful as our stay of 10 days was longer than the normal stay. We based out of the house in Bordeaux and did spend several nights out in other parts of the area. It is well located with easy access to bus for the train station and tram to go further downtown.

We moved permanently to France this year and had to go to Bordeaux for our medical exam to get our Carte Vitale. We needed someplace close and we had a dog. Viola, Flo’s apartment popped up. It is an easy bus ride to and from the train station and the bus stop is literally in front of the apartment which also sits a short distance to the tram line. Flo was so gracious. She and her mother entertained Sophie (our dog)so we could visit the wine museum. We loved Bordeaux and will return for another visit!

My husband and I had never stayed at a VRBO property before, so imagine our good luck to stay at Flo’s house for the first time. As a host, she is warm and welcoming, She even had some breakfast items on hand to make our mornings special and was extremely helpful with information on things to see and do in the area of Bordeaux. The bed was comfortable and the deck outside the room overlooking the beautiful garden was a definite plus. As a sleep deprived working couple, we also really appreciated the motorized shutters that completely darkened the room and made sleeping truly pleasurable. We could have slept all day, but alas there were things to do and see in our short time in Bordeaux! We highly recommend this lovely lady and her property.
