it was a 10 minute walk from the apartment to pick up keys - which could have been a little clearer on the information sheet. Could have done with a thicker curtain.

The location is great; it's very close to the train station but is quiet. Just outside our patio door there is a large garden. Although it may be shared with another flat, but it is still a very nice setting. If the weather is fine, we can even have a glimpse of the top left part of Matterhorn from a corner of the kitchen!

The check-in & check-out procedures are complicated & even to the point of ridiculous. Even after booking & payment, we're still required to do an "advanced check-in" before our arrival to provide some of our personal details to the host. After that, we'll get a digital "travel document" which shows our booking details, and which we should present to the host office to really check-in & get our key when we arrive. The host office is not in the same place as the apartment building, though it is not far away. But it closes at 6pm. And since we were flying to Switzerland on that day to Zurich first & then taking a 3+ hours train trip before reaching Zermatt, we're at first worried that we might not be able to reach the office before it closed. The office gave us two contradicting messages: 1) It said we could get the key anyway by keying in a pin code in a key box to get the key outside the office if it's closed; 2) It then sent me a message that our check-in time after 6pm was declined! It really scared us quite a bit. Fortunately, my flight was smooth & I could get to the office before 6pm to check-in. It was still quite scary. The check-out procedure was also weird. We're supposed to check a list of 10 items in a check list & sign it to make sure we have kept the room clean, have disposed of all the garbage, ... etc. Are we teenagers? Then we have to return this signed check list & the key back to the office. The process is quick then, but the check list is just ridiculous.
