Not worth the money

Nice location near the lake Saimaa. Very friendly staff. Probably nice place for the campers and vans.

The chalet I stayed in wasn't very clean. I upgraded and ended up paying 300€ for a chalet where I had to climb steep stairs to go to sleep. The sauna (for the campers and other stayers) was just in front of the chalet and there was a lot of noise coming from at the evening. There is a electric radiator in the shower, which was scary. I felt like I paid a bit too much, considering I had to do the cleaning and bring my own bed linen.

Nice location and view, clean, with heater, clean shared toilets, helpful and kind employees. Free parking nearby.

We paid a lot to have to sweep the gloor, clean the rug, make the bed and take out garbage ourselves. In addition In the price wasn't included sheets and towels. It was with extra fee. Expensive for what it offered in my opinion.

Good value for the money

Place was beautiful and the facilities were good. It was great that dogs were allowed to swim as well.

The bunk beds weren't quite there. No safety railing on the upper beds and the ladder up was awful. The cottage was also very hot, and if you opened the windows, mosquitoes and wasps would start coming inside.

Camping in style.

Loved the proximity to the lake, morning sauna and woods filled with chanterelles. Which we promptly cooked and enjoyed for dinner.

The cottage could do with a few more hanging points.

Koskenselkä could be awesome place, but...

Good location.

The cabins are in a dire need of a renovation. Wood is splintering in the terrace floor, the terrace railing was not secure and will fail if someone leans into it. The kitchen corner in the cabin was really outdated, and there ants wondering around in the kitchen. Electric wiring looked unsafe in the second maintenance building, and there was a strong smell of mold in the shower room. Also the cabin was really dirty, for example there was sand and dog hair in some of the beds.

The place was great and there was a swimming beach just 50 meters from the porch.

Staff didn't talk Finnish that well. I also noted that there was no air conditioning or ventilation whatsoever in the cottage.

I really dont like camping, but this little hut was great. The camping aerea is extremely clean. The equipment was good. Also in the kitchen. I can recommend this hut! Best sleep ever! Great location also!

Very nice place for camping.

Nice place in the forest. We were living in a cabin house. Liked morning sauna which was free for visitors. Grill place is well prepared. Nice cafeteria with good food. Pleasant staff.

Cabin was quite small. There was only one boat for rent. Not the best place for fishing.

Great location and nature around. Beds are bad to sleep.

Bed was ”self made” (DIY bed) in the cottage and not so good to sleep. Blankets and pillows were very poor to sleep. I suggest your own bed stuff to get good night sleep.

The facilities are very well organized and minimally they provide what you expect: simple accommodations in a great location. However, I rate this as exceptional because the staff were responsive and welcoming, everything was well marked (drinking water, for example), there was a wonderful sense of community on the lot, and the beach was lovely!

That there would have been some chance to open window with mosquito net and that curtains would have covered the main window. We needed to use towel. It got quite hot in the night.

Great value for money and amazing views

The camping is a lovely place to stay at the beautiful lake Saimaa - either in the tents (we did that in July'20) or in a cottage (August'20). Good infrastructure (toilets, showers, kitchen, fire places, beach and cafe) and very, very clean. The budget cottages are small but clean and with gorgeous views to the lake.

Sweet comfort on a budget

Scenic place, close to Puumala. Cabin was very comfy and had everything we needed in a small place. Sauna (extra cost) was very nice. Everything worked. Great value for money!

Todella kauniilla paikalla oleva kohde. Yövyimme camping alueen mökissä, jokaisesta mökistä kaunis järvimaisema. Matala ja iso uimaranta, josta helppo mennä uimaan.
