Lots of options at the spa, multiple types of saunas and pools. Nice a la carte restaurant, I did not get to the included breakfast to see the other restaurant. Large room and bathroom with very good heating we could control ourselves. Hotel was revamped, is clean and does not show it's age.
Even there are plenty of rooms for massage, it seemed it was overcrowded especially during the weekend. I think they lack personnel as it looked like there was only one masseuse for the entire hotel. Checkout was a bit lengthy due to people leaving around the same time, but also even if there were 4-5 people at the counter only 1 person was processing the checkout. Parking, if you get late and especially for the weekend, you will need to park on the adjacent streets - you can tell that the hotel was built in an era when cars were a luxury, but we managed to park nearby.

I loved Baile Herculane, the old buildings in the town are beautiful, history and elegance blending together. Unfortunately the town, which is a resort, has been neglected by illicit extractive corrupt owner of the hotels and baths, but with proper leadership this town will flourish again.
The hotel seems understaffed, quite weird give the high unemployment in the area. The hotel was clean during week days, but starting Friday, when it was probably fully booked, it turned dirtier. The staff should take care of the sauna areas, the tourists do not respect the recommendations, you shouldn’t see 1 year olds at the over 16 years area. Absolutely wonderful staff at the restaurant.

The spa is nice and food is good
The room was a mess, old style, not clean, with spiders on corners and a door that the pain went away when we tried closing the door. The room was not clean
