Riad Sierra

The location was excellent. Very close to the souks and the central areas, but far enough away that it wasn’t too loud. The communal areas had been renovated to a high standard and was very beautiful. The breakfast was excellent and the staff incredibly helpful. Our bedroom was large and spacious with a comfortable bed. The staff were particularly helpful and could source what you needed. The rooftop dinner (need to book in advance) was excellent.

Our bathroom needed renovation and improvement. It was a dark room that hid some basic maintenance needs. There were loose tiles on the bathroom floor, the toilet was wobbly when you sat on it. The sink didn’t have a plug and it was a battle to get hot/cold water properly at the right temperature.

This is a top Riad and definitely worth staying at! It’s very close to the Souk, while the surrounding area felt safe and welcoming. The Riad itself is beautifully Moroccan in style, charming, authentic, and exceptionally clean. But the real superpower of this place is the staff. They were absolutely amazing; polite, friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Everyone was fantastic, but a special thank you to Mourad, who truly went the extra mile to make our stay even more enjoyable. His kindness and attention to detail really stood out. We had a wonderful experience and would happily recommend this Riad to anyone visiting Marrakech! ❤️

Very nice property, great location but what makes it special is definitely the staff. Mourad was the best, he gave us all the tips, he helped us with everything we needed and made our whole stay so much better

The stay was pleasant overall. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The communal areas of the Riad are particularly beautiful and very nicely organised, creating a lovely atmosphere throughout the property. The sink in the bathroom was nice and clean, and the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful during our stay. The location was convenient, with a pick-up and drop-off point on the main road just around five minutes away from the Riad, making it relatively easy to get to and from the property despite being inside the Medina.

The host contacted me quite frequently by WhatsApp about our arrival time and other arrangements, which I felt was a little unnecessary. The bathroom was very dark, particularly around the shower area, and although the sink was clean, the skirting area around the shower did not look particularly clean. There were also some broken tiles around the raised step in the shower area which could potentially cut your feet if you are not careful. The shower did not drain very well, so you could end up standing in water while showering. The shower tap was quite stiff and the water continued to drip afterwards. The toilet was also a little wobbly. Breakfast was fairly standard for a Moroccan Riad. Like many Riads, there was also some noise at night and early in the morning, including people pacing up and down the stairs, moving furniture and the first prayers around 5am, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs.
