Extended tour in Capetown.

We loved everything about it. The decor, the staff, the amenities, the owners, Renee was a great help to us with recommendations and ideas. The breakfast room was beautiful with hot dishes made to order, and all the usual fruit, cereals etc, and teas and espresso coffees. Unfortunately it wasn't warm enough to enjoy the pool, but a great temperature for walking and exploring.

A Perfect Solo Stay at Constancia Valley Lodge I recently stayed at Constancia Valley Lodge while traveling alone, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with such warmth by the owners that I instantly felt at home. Their care and attention to detail truly made my stay unforgettable. The lodge’s garden is stunning—so peaceful and beautifully maintained, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. My room was cosy, and the bed was so comfortable that I slept like a dream every night. Breakfast was a real highlight—delicious, fresh, and the best I’ve had in a long time. The pool was an ideal place to relax after a day of exploring, and the overall atmosphere was wonderfully inviting and calm. Traveling alone, it’s not always easy to feel at ease, but the owners made sure I felt completely cared for. I can’t recommend Constancia Valley Lodge enough and will definitely be back! Jeroen

Renee and Andrew, are magnificent hosts, offering visitors the opportunity to share their outstanding facilities. Excellent service from supporting staff. The warm hospitality at Constantia Valley Lodge will ensure repetitive visits, as is the experience of so many international guests who go there regularly, some for more than 10 years.

Friendly staff (Beatrice) and owner (Brenda) They were kind enough to upgrade our room to a much larger room with balcony and kitchen area at no extra cost. The location was ver quiet and relaxing. Outdoor pool and garden area was well kept and clean.

Although I enjoyed the weekend at Constantia Valley Lodge , I was not happy with the cleanliness in terms of the kitchen. Microwave had dry food splatters inside from the previous guests and sponge in the kitchen was old with food particles still on it upon our arrival. Hygiene is a huge issue for my husband and I so that was rather disappointing to see small details being overlooked by the staff/owner.

Pretty ideal - suited our needs well - Rene & Andrew were perfect hosts offering ideas for days out

Breakfast was freshly cooked to order - coffee, tea& juice readily on hand along with fresh fruit, breads and cold meats etc Room was spacious , well equipped with towels and spotless - great size and wonderful view of mountains and pool area Good security arrangements

Load shedding was wasn’t ideal but it affects all of South Africa - we were advised of when it would apply to us and the Lodge had adequate contingency in place to enable us to use wi fi and other essentials including hot water and lighting etc

the room faced a driveway, not the gardens as advertised the room was next to some sort of loud generator and it was impossible to sleep all interactions with the owner/manager were unpleasant - she was curt and rude in each conversation

Great Constantia Stay

Hosts were very welcoming, interesting and helpful. We felt part of a little family, along with the other guests. Fantastic breakfast and rooms a great standard. We were upgraded to a bigger room as one was available. Location is great for the wine route, Haut Bay and Cape Peninsular. There are good restaurants and a supermarket close by.

Not a dislike, but the parking was rather tight. However the hosts are addressing this as I write and we could always park on the property.

The closest to Nirvana I have ever been.

What you see is what you get. And more. Perfect location allowing you to drive anywhere of interest in 30 minutes or so. Free, secure parking. Fab environment and gardens. People and their hospitality make it all more of an event than just a stay. Impressive management by Renee and Andrew, outstanding support from Beatrice and Vivian. Pool an utter relax. Breakfast excellent. The best I’ve seen in my 12 visits to the Cape.

There is nothing to dislike here unless you are a snob. and you aren’t. Well, at my age, breakfast could last an inch longer? I may well stop smoking to achieve a “win-win solution”. 🙄😂

Memorable stay at Constantia Valley Lodge

This is a fantastic place to stay. We had a suite in the main house and it was comfortable, spacious and very clean. We also had a big terrace overlooking the gardens and the pool. Location was great too, very close to all vineyards in Constantia.
