Hostal de la Luz

Nos quedamos muy contentos. El trato fue excelente, los dueños son muy atentos y amables, estaba lloviendo y nos dejaron un paraguas, con lo cual pudimos salir en ese momento. La limpieza es muy buena y el desayuno muy bueno. Si volvemos elegiremos este hostal de nuevo sin dudarlo.

Por decir algo, no nos gustó que solo habia un enchufe en la habitación y no estaba cerca de las mesillas. La almohada era grande, nos hubiera gustado que tuvieran almohadas individuales. Y también es difícil aparcar por la zona. Por lo demás todo bien, repetiremos.

Un hostal familiar y acogedor. La atención muy buena. Un lugar muy tranquilo. Lo recomiendo!

Lo único que me falto, fue tener enchufe en las mesitas de la cama. Para cargar el móvil lo tenia que dejar en el lavabo y eso era un poco incomodo.

El trato de los propietarios y la localización.

Poco insonorizadas las habitaciones.

Great view from the window of the church (from which this place takes its name) which, by the way, is well worth looking at. The room was large and well-appointed. Good access to a lovely little trek you can make up to the Ermita de San Julian further further up the valley.

I stayed in 4 different places during the 10 days I stayed in Cuenca; this was the most expensive and by far the worst for the following reasons: Noise: the walls are like paper - the first night I had to endure the loud and amorous exchanges of a young couple; the second night to the television preferences and conversation of a middle-aged couple who couldn't sleep! Location: San Anton is an unusual little neighbourhood but if you're a tourist there is little to see in this part of Cuenca and few amenities beyond a couple of bars - it's neither downtown or old town. There are many better places to locate yourself. Expense: it's an expensive option and though one of the assets is the excellent little breakfast this is not included. Now, locals may be ready for that but not unless you're told beforehand. I was presented with the extra bill at the end and no effort or opportunity was taken to inform me in advance that this was an extra cost. Room Servicing: the bathroom had a terrible leaking shower. I did everything I could to avoid this but it flooded the floor all the same. No one had bothered to refill the hand soap dispenser. Communication: no effort was made to communicate to me about the added expense of the breakfast nor did I get any response to my complaint about the noise from other guests, until over 24 later.
