Still love it here best location for us

We love this property and try and visit a few times a year. Excellent location and super clean apartment

We did request not to stay in block C as the road noise can be heard very clearly so this was the only disappointing part of the trip

Pleasant, would we return? Probably not

Man on recepcion was very friendly, The location was lovely and nice patio furniture, bed was comfortable, beautifully maintained gardens, table and four chairs on terrece and 2 sun loungers although Flat was for six people

The Flat was tired and needed updating lots of peeling plasterwork everywhere, needed repainting outside on the terrece, the pool area was cramped far too many sunloungers and unsupervised , lots of kids going crazy jumping off loungers into the pool and at one stage a lounger ended up in the pool, the three girls in the restaurant were totally disinterested and prefered to be texting on their Mobile phones than serve anyone when we did get served they were short and unfriendly, no smiling faces, although it was only 7.30pm we where told we could only have fast food such as a pizza which when it turned up was obviously from the freezer and burnt, on two occasions we went to the bar for a drink and ended up leaving as the girls preferred to be on their phones rather than serve us, we wanted to stay for the entertainment but no one was interested in serving us drinks, We went to the bar for happy hour one night one minute after 7pm so went to the counter to order, was told too late, for one minute! all very dissapointing really, Macdonalds Hotels l think you could do better.

There was still trash in the trashcan and it was not cleaned even after three times of reclaiming. Generally rooms felt old and not very comfortable. No room service

Late September stay

I loved the pool, the location, local restaurants, and the fact that Leila Playa is adjacent to the bus stop. Provision of dishwasher and washing machine with plenty supply of detergent is really useful. Local supermarkets in walking distance. The resort restaurant waitress staff are great...

The food at the on-site restaurant is not as good as the sister resort, Doña Lola. Limited snack menu for lunch e.g. no baguettes. No baked potatoes as an alternative to fries or baby potatoes for main meals is disappointing.

Excellent

The resort offers everything you need to feel like home. Its concept with apartments accommodation makes it easy for families..kids, grandparents etc. You can cook, wash..everything is at your disposal. The apartments are fully equipped. Not to mention that they are located to the beach. It is a nice promenade I between the hotel and the beach. There is also a nice beach bar with live music.

A little bit of classic furniture inside. The couches were a little bit too used.

I come here every year with friends, I don’t need to say what I like the place as I think the fact that I come here every year goes to show it is always enjoyable and worth visiting.

Excellent location and apartment

The location is excellent, as was our apartment, our view of the sea and the facilities. The reception staff were super helpful and the gardens are beautiful.

It was mostly excellent. We did have some ants in the kitchen but the maintenance team came as soon as we reported it. The decor in our kitchen was a bit tired but I presume they all get done up slowly but surely. It would also be good if the menu in the restaurant was marked with vegetarian and vegan signs.

The property was spacious with a large terrace facing the sea. great facilities and location. The apartment far exceeded our expectation and will be looking to return next year!

Perfect place to stay

The resort is lovely, clean & well maintained. Pool area was busy but enough sun beds for everyone. The Terrace bar does great cocktails with amazing views. I booked a studio apartment (C10) it had a wrap around balcony with partial sea view, you can follow the sun all day on the balcony. Apartment was clean, spacious, bed was comfy, air conditioning worked well. Rooms may be dated but who books to sit in doors. This apartments had 3 double balcony doors & lots of windows so could be light & bright but it’s hot so was happy to keep the room’s shaded. Definitely the apartment you want to book if you’re going for a Studio.

Beachfront property with great view of the ocean! My kids enjoyed the beach and the pool a lot! Marbella was very close from this location.

Loved it!

Everything is as described. I recommend it! The rooms, apartments have everything you may need. The staff is great and I truly believe you will love Elisa who is in charge of the activities (for children and adults as well). For those who don't want to rent a car there is easy access by bus to Marbella and Fuengirola, Malaga. We will revisit for sure ❤️

The view from the room was spectacular. Full ocean, and adjacent to a nature open space. Wonderful breezes from the ocean.

The bed was small - probably just a full size. The air conditioning didn't make any difference so we just opened all the windows. They do not restock supplies and the amount of shampoo / soap given was pathetic. You have to pay extra to get clean towels.

fantastic resort but sort out the roaches

fantastic location 30 seconds from beach

there seems to be a restaurant and bar which closes at 9pm a bit early when your on holiday last time I visited there was entertainment maybe missing a trick here seems to be a cockroach issue which after 2 visits to the apartment still coming in there is a wall at the bottom of the apartments next to where your bring rubbish and left over food noticed one night as the cockroach’s emptied out of ( approx 50 to 60 easily )

Lovely resort near the beach

Lovely resort with excellent facilities near to the beach. We had a large comfortable spacious apartment with terrace and partial sea view. As our flight home waa late, we had full use of the pool and facilities after checkbout thanks to the Reception staff kindly arranging this for us. Many thanks

Great beachfront apartment with a lovely pool area.

The resort is beachfront and the apartment has seaviews. The gardens are well maintained and the pool area is very clean. There is a good restaurant Luna Beach nearby and Cabopino with good bars and restaurants is a short stroll along the boardwalk.

Restaurant could open earlier and offer a wider menu.

Perfectly located, luxurious, clean and has everything you could possibly want. The 3 bed apartments are spacious, comfortable and of a high standard. The staff are exceptional. With the pool, beachfront location and lovely inside Resteraunt, it’s perfect.

Our stay at Macdonald Leila Playa Resort was a very nice wrapping up to our visit to Spain!

The whole atmosphere was great. Lovely pool area. Nice with restaurant near pool. Very nice view. Comfortable and well equipped apartment. Easy to park. Easy drive to the airport.

No breakfast available to buy at the resort. Many flies/bugs in the bathroom. No explanation of how to dispose non-organic garbage. Far to walk to the store. A bit complicated to drive to/from the resort - missed the entrance first and had to make a very long detour. Getting out to the main road seemed unsafe when there was much traffic.

Clean and tidy 2000s charm in beautiful Marbella

This is a well kept, tidy apart-hotel style accommodation. It’s definitely not the most glamorous room interiors but everything is clean and functional. Javier was excellent at reception. The grounds and gardens are immaculate. The location is very convenient- write off the regional arterial road, 10 minutes walk to Lidl supermarket. The beach is directly out the front of the property. There is only 1-2 nearby restaurants, others would require a longer walk/drive. Parking is free and very easy. Also the pool is the deepest hotel pool I’ve ever swum in- 2.3m!!

The shower sprayed water/leaked around the bathroom floor. Otherwise everything was excellent

Fantastically chilled weekend away.

The balcony was large, the beds comfortable and the restaurant served good food and drinks. The bath towels were large and soft and the beach towels were too. Plus there were some lovely cut glass crystal glasses which added a touch of class to our drinks on the balcony. Great location within a short beach walkway stroll to Cabopino. The pool was also a great temperature for early May and not too crowded or noisy.

What a brilliant family aparthotel-beautifully kept in a great location! Would highly recommend! Close to all golf and right on the beach. Short drive to Marbella, Mijas and other local towns. Lidl across road so easy to buy food to self cater. Beautiful setting with plants and water features and pool well kept.
