Best stay in the centre

Close to the centre and easy walk to the beach and the train and bus station

We saw one bed bug on the window curtain But the bed , pillows and blankets are clean

Good location. Room was ok, but a little tired.

Desk staff were a bit rude and slow. Elevator was very slow. Couldn’t control the heat very well, so we left the window open. Luckily it’s a sleepy town and it was quiet outside.

My second stay at this hotel ,excellent central position near to the main square added bonus of secure parking garage for my motorcycle. A 15 minute ride to my ferry home.Perfect for my needs.Great staff friendly and helpful,same staff as my previous visit last year.

Rooms were clean, location was great

Breakfast was a disappointment. The continental breakfast was ok but the hot food was poor e.g. a lack of it and not really any enthusiasm from staff to keep monitoring it

Rude staff! No wine available in bar. Room faulty ( bathroom door broken) Tea and coffee facilities were dreadful

Reception indicated that apparently dogs NOT are allowed, although we had specifically searched for dog friendly accommodation and Booking.com indicated it was !

Link from Booking.com via google maps did not take us to the hotel but a square several hundred meters away..! The hotel had not updated the sign outside to a Best Western hotel yet......apprently was still in transition with admin and sign, payment was also a problem - although booking.com had taken payment in full (excluding breakfast & tax) the hotel insisted on taking (a second) full payment again on my credit card - which took a lot of effort on my part to obtain reimbursement !

The location was great. The most memorable thing to comment on was how accommodating the manager and front end staff responded to correct the booking error we made to ensure we had a room for the night. He did not really have to go to the extent he did but it was greatly appreciated. his efforts exceeded our expectation.

Pretty nice hotel for the price, and the breakfast is a real bargain.

The staff were mostly friendly but seemed a bit disorganized. I think they mentioned that they'd recently renovated and things were in flux. Anyway they did their best and we enjoyed our stay.
