Handy location.

Very old and tired looking. The disgusting peach bath and shower looked like some awful tacky throwback from the 1970s. The slat windows in the bathroom didn’t fully shut allowing all manner of flying beasties to inhabit the bathroom and keep the room temperature at whatever the outside temperature is. In serious need of refurbishment inside and out. It looks untouched in at least 40 years.

Even though it was only one night, it was so stress free and accommodating for my family

I had 2 kids with me (ages 1 & 4yrs old) absolutely suited for kids, the pool was nice and warm for our babies and I loved the massive Spa bath in our room. I will definitely go back again LOVED LOVED LOVED

Great location for a stopover in Paihia. Pleasant and accommodating staff. Nice touch that a fan had been supplied.

Our room was a little tired and toiletries limited (though I have no doubt if I'd asked for more I'd have got them). I was nervous about the parking as we had been given a brand new hire car larger than many - I had to reposition to limit the risk of dented doors.

The receptionist was friendly and polite. Bed comfortable and clean as was the single unit. Great location, pool clean and heated, spa didn't look very clean. My unit was at the end of a row, not much lighting and the driveway down to it was very narrow.

Nice place to stay for a short stay in Paihia

We only stayed overnight but the facilities were very good. We didn’t use the swimming pool.

Only comment would be that the staff at reception could have been a bit more welcoming.

Facilities were old but kept okay. My only real disappointment was - I’d suggest SMOKERS not be accommodated next to NON smokers. The room beside me had 4 men sitting outside smoking for long periods - it was right outside the room I slept in so I couldn’t have the window open because of the terrible smell.

Short break in Paihia in a lovely motel.

Peaceful location within easy walking distance to Paihia. Lovely heated swimming pool. Very comfortable room - we upgraded from the small bedsit to a larger unit and it was just great! Very kind owners who went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

The helpful staff. I was able to store my luggage as I arrived early.

It got cold at night the room did not have heating an electric blanket was on the bed though. The window and window furnishings needs some updating maintenance. The staff did help with the window that wouldnt close due to its handle breaking.

Very spacious room with a useful kitchen, great spa and heated swimming pool. Staff were very pleasant and all appeared happy to work there. Very comfortable bed and very quiet. We also liked that you could park the car outside the doors.

Great little motel within few mins walk to central Paihia

2nd time we had stayed there because we enjoyed it last time, and its on the cheaper side of all the other places in Paihia. Spacious room, nice pool and hot tub area. The receptionists are lovely and friendly.

Very basic kitchen area, and the window in the bathroom doesn't shut, so its a bit cold in the winter months. But as said previously, this is the 2nd time I stayed there, and I would go back again if I was going to go for a 3rd time.

The place is pretty close to everything, beach, restaurant, and harbour. The place is spacious and quiet. Easy access to everything.

They didn’t clean properly the room when make up time, the pool is quite dirty, also the jacuzzi not sure when the last time they clean.

Great Pool/Jacuzzi, with great location to Bay of Islands

After a long day travelling up to the very top of New Zealand we were very excited to get to the Motel. We went during the quiet period, so it was lovely and quiet and felt like we had the place to ourselves. We jumped in the pool within minutes of being there and it was great! It was heated and seeing the stars above us was just magical. We then jumped into the jacuzzi which was even warmer, which really let us relax! The room itself was okay, enough space for our twin beds and the beds were comfy. We had heated blankets as well as a heater so we managed to get the room heated up quickly. Nice size Shower room/Toilet, with towels for us to use, as well as a small amount of shampoo and soap. They did provide a small carton of milk, and I accidentally left personals by the pool which they had collected and kept safe which I am very appreciative of. For the prices around Bay of Islands, I'm happy with the price as its cheap compared to others and you are less than a 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal to explore the place. I'd visit there again! Staff was also lovely as well. Very smiley - again appreciated after a long journey!

The Kitchen area was small. The sink for washing dishes was the sink in the toilet so just felt a bit cramped. You really only have a microwave and fridge. But if thats all you need, then its great.
