Hotel Termales San Vicente

I regularly travel to hot springs and these ones are the best I’ve found in the world. In fact this was a return visit from 7 years ago and it’s exactly perfect frozen in time. Additionally the accommodation is of great value and the people that work there are accommodating and kind.

The natural surroundings at this property are absolutely amazing, and the pools are well-maintained and incredibly relaxing. Unfortunately, the service and management left a lot to be desired.

Before arrival, we were pressured to pay in advance via a link, despite our reservation explicitly stating we could pay at the property. Breakfast was a major disappointment, it was a very poor selection, and despite being a buffet, we weren’t allowed to serve ourselves. Instead, staff served us tiny portions. To make matters worse, the owner used a microphone during breakfast to loudly boast about his achievements and pitch a water product he sells, making it impossible to talk or relax. Finally, check-out felt incredibly unwelcoming, as staff rigorously counted the towels and blankets in our room before we could leave. I’ve never experienced that level of distrust at a hotel before. Lovely location, but the hospitality needs a major upgrade.
