Koro Sun Resort & Rainforest Spa

Everything about Koro Sun was great. They greet you at the airport and after a short drive to the resort you’re greeted by staff who sing you a Fijian welcome song. The food, rooms, amenities, and atmosphere were all amazing. The staff takes great effort to remember you and everyone in your party by name and are always asking if they can assist with anything. The snorkeling guide, Kaleb, did a fantastic job. He was very involved seeking out interesting sea life and pointing them out. We were able to experience sea turtles, sharks, coral reefs, and a verity of beautiful fish.

The most of adult beverages were way too sweet for my taste. Other than that I have no complaints.

We had a fantastic stay. The staff are incredibly friendly. Not was too much trouble. My husband wanted to find out how he could watch a World Cup game. The staff organised a taxi for him to a local bar that had a television. He was very happy. The spa treatments were fantastic.

Unfortunately the weather during our stay wasn't great but there was still plenty of things for us to do.

Lovely property, grounds gorgeous, lush gardens/forest. Food excellent - presentation, flavour & variety. Kids pool is lovely & nice temperature, close to bar/restaurant. Medicinal walk was very informative. Resort offered LOTS of included activities as well as, addon paid activities! You really don't have to book anything before you come because you can simply do what they offer & have quite an amzing experience around! Sand Bar restaurant/bar by the ocean is excellent service, drinks & food. Highly recommend this place - but make sure pool by beach is open. & if you want a 'beach' this is not the place for you. Great wifi all around the resort (except in our room it kept dropping).

Steak restaurant by the ocean was closed for renovations as was the pool by the beach. So we had to use the kids pool which was noisy with shreaking kids. Steak menu though was being served in main restaurant so that was fine. Lots of rain in mid-March during our stay so we couldn't play golf as the course was supersaturated flooded the whole time. Due to lots of rain, the beach area ocean wasn't clear enough to snorkel. Also, no actual 'beach'. Our room GB1 had A/C but it was poorly located as our room never cooled off enough, made it unpleasant to read or work on computer because it was too warm to concentrate. Also, wifi kept dropping in our room which was super annoying!

The location of the resort is undeniably beautiful, surrounded by lush rainforest and stunning ocean views. The natural environment and marine life around Savusavu remain the true highlight of the stay. Some staff members were friendly and welcoming, and the peaceful setting has great potential for a relaxing getaway.

Unfortunately, several aspects of the stay were disappointing and did not meet the standards one would expect from a resort of this category. Parts of the property felt poorly maintained and somewhat disorganized, while service and communication were inconsistent throughout the stay. The biggest disappointment was the associated dive operation. While the reefs and underwater environment themselves were enjoyable, the dive centre lacked professionalism and structure. Basic expectations regarding organisation, communication, customer care, and operational coordination were missing, creating a chaotic impression that did not inspire confidence. For a destination with such extraordinary diving potential, this was particularly frustrating. Overall, the experience fell short of the level of quality and professionalism one would normally expect in Fiji’s tourism sector.
