Perfect apartment for a family stay

This apartment was perfect for our group of 4 adults. We booked an apartment with Garden view but we were also able to see the sea. The apartment is located in a somewhat gated community with a big parking, pool, restaurant, reception and a small pool bar. There is also a Pilates studio where you can book classes. They are in high demand so I would advice to book in advance. Furthermore a short walk will get you to nearby bakery, pharmacy and coffee as well as a small bar street. Rent a car and you will have plenty of beaches within 20 minutes reach.

Cosy and nice place to stay with family

The apartment was clean and cosy, garden is very nice

The beach is unappropriate for staying and swimming, so we had to choose another beach to go to. Roof/silling on the first floor was too low, so we were worring that it was unsafe to sleep bellow the slopes.

A holiday is what you make it. Had a good time been in nicer places.

Staff and the pool area was good however more sun beds would be better. The cleaning staff did an excellent service. Additionally the waiting staff at the pool bar were also good.

It was not made clear there was no balcony / terrace for sitting out. The property was advertised as two bedrooms but one was an open mezzanine above the sitting room and was not suitable for two couples. We ended up paying €900 for a separate apartment. The location is a 15 min walk from the ‘run down’ town along a main road beside stinking bins. The resort of Gouvia itself is tired and poorly maintained.

Fabulous location and beautiful villa.

It was a brilliant location - right outside a bus stop which goes to numerous places on the island, and the swimming pool was very spacious. Lots of chairs and living areas, comfortable beds, and enough space for a group of people. The vibe of the place was great and the property was furnished well and very light!

There was some dirt on the floor when we arrived but overall the property was very clean. The kitchen was labelled as fully equipped but did not have kitchen essentials like a spatula. The holders for the shower heads were broken so sometimes it was difficult to stand under the water.

Great location for a 3 week stay Friendly staff.

Housekeeping not consistent. We had friends visit us for a week and in the first week housekeeping was great. Very consistent in everything. (Changing of the beds, linen etc). When our friends came no beds or linen were changed which was disappointing as we were saying to them before they arrived how great the service was. Then on the last week of our stay it went back to like it was in the beginning. So really not sure what happened in the middle week of our stay.

Great value for money for size of apartment.

Very spacious villa. Great there were two bathrooms. Kitchen wasn’t very well equipped for 8 people. No dishes to cook in or small pans. Disability access wasn’t very good. Uneven ground and lots of steps to get to the villa. Also difficult with a pushchair. Heaters didn’t work properly in the bedrooms and one didn’t have one at all even when messaged prior to the stay to check if all bedrooms had heating. Staff very friendly and cleaning staff visited everyday. Quite far out of Gouvia with busy road near by. Also a continuous annoying beeping noise during the night. Close to bus stop to get around the island.

Very nice location for the family if you want to swim in the pool.

Close to the big road - noise also during the night. Especially in apartments close to the main road. Air condition was not good enough in 2 apartments that we had. I do not advise lofts with sleeping room upstairs, because it is warmer there. Sea in this bay is very hot, so if you want to swim in the sea then this is not the best here. Also a lot of green things in the sea here.

Felt like we've paid more than we did

I've asked for an apartament with sea view and we've got it, made big impression. The resort looks really well overall, the plants are maintained. Close to everything you need like markets, restaurants, bus stops for green and blue line in front of the entrance, souvenir shops. We were given additional towels without asking and we ended up needing them, felt like someone is taking care of us :)

70 % of TV channels are in german, We've enjoyed japanese sumo fights every morning on NHK tho :P Not really something We didn't like but housekeeping could learn few more words.

The staff, view and pool is perfect. Along with the extremely reasonable price to stay this was very very good value for money. I would recommend this hotel to anybody it has everything you needed and the price for week is beyond amazing.

Only negative was the breakfast although very cheap it put us off trying the restaurant for an evening meal and I believe constructive criticism would be for that to be improved as for us and maybe others it was the first meal we had there and can make or break future restaurant revenue. However not a deal breaker and not worth missing this hotel. Also we went out of season so potentially much more offered in season.

The apartment was nice, nice pool and bar. nice complex, plenty of parking.

No aircon in downstairs bedroom, upper floor bedroom was accessed by steps, had to be careful at night when going to toilet; very low ceiling in upper bedroom.

we had to book for the room to be cleaned, as they are trying to run the place with not enough cleaning staff to save money. the apartment was dirty even after cleaning. bad self catering facilities. rubbish everywhere. walking out is awful surrounded by overrun bins. restaurant and bar on site are over priced.

Great place to stay

Ease of access and cleanliness. The staff is extremely friendly and waking up to a beautiful sunrise over the bay every morning, felt like living in a picture perfect play. We rented a car and parking was also complimentary, a rarity in most areas of Corfu. Overall, a big plus on our trip. Thank you for everything.

Ok if you have a car

Good value for money, the pool was very large - although bad weather when we stayed so only used it once. Tennis courts were good although you have to pay for them. Easy to get the bus to the old town.

The location isn’t ideal unless you have a car. No nice beaches are walkable and Gouvia isn’t that nice. The reception staff were quite unfriendly and unhelpful.
