Really lovely cottage and rural location. The hot tub and the view were amazing

Beautiful location and very private. Outside space was perfect for our dog and the surrounding fields were great for dog walks. The view is exceptional. Hot tub is amazing and was the high point of our stay. It is a beautiful cottage, exposed beams are lovely and the cottage is very spacious. It was winter when we stayed and the heating was great. We were lovely and warm inside. Shower was lovely. Dish washer was a fab touch. We didn’t meet the host but his father was lovely and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

The open wooden stairs might not be ideal for some but I believe there is the option of a safety gate if needed. The following are just some suggestions to make the stay even more perfect: The mattress on the adult bed had hard springs, it may benefit from a mattress topper. This may just be personal preference but we both got bad backs from the mattress. Due to the hail/snow we spent a lot of time in the cottage and found the Tv quite small for such a big room. We also stayed in for our meals but found there wasn’t a lot of kitchen utensils.. maybe need a couple of items i.e. whisk, potato masher, sieve and strainer. If it had been summer we’d have eaten out more and may not have needed these. It may be good to provide some extra towels as we used the hot tub daily and needed regular showers to wash chemicals off, maybe some plastic drinking glasses to use in the hot tub, we only had option of glass ones and it felt a bit dangerous. A silicone broom for the wet room would be great, so the bathroom floor wasn’t always wet after showers 😊

Peace of the countryside, but close to beaches & a hot tub as a bonus - fab place to stay

It's also about 15 mins to some lovely beaches so it's rural but close to places too. All in all we couldn't have asked for more.

So peaceful, just what we needed. The dogs absolutely loved it. The hot tub was a nice touch.

Liked everything. I do think maybe a curtain on the main front door and maybe a little local welcome package. Stayed in similar cottages and having that extra touch was nice.

Everything . Beautiful location calm and tranquil. Accommodation looks nice in photos but doesn’t show the lovely character of the place . Hot tub a bonus . Me my niece and the dog really enjoyed it here. It’s a lovely place to escape with the dog

Feels like a home away from home, perfect spot for a romantic night away, it’s so cosy and clean in there with plenty of space inside and out, the hot tub was amazing and such a special addition to the property, i like that it’s been modernised enough but still has a very old cottage feel to it, couldn’t be happier with the booking.

The only issue i found was there was no oil for cooking and i had a meal planned to cook but only a small hiccup as i made do without but that could be a good little add to the supplies, other than that no fault with the property at all

Beautiful tranquil location

Lovely location, very quiet and relaxing. Beautiful views and plenty of space for our dog to run about. We loved having a wet room. The owners are so friendly and helpful. Free access to streaming services when we wanted a quiet evening. The accommodation provided everything we needed for a quiet week away and in reasonable travelling distance to Saundersfoot and Tenby.

There wasn't anything to dislike as the location and accommodation suited our needs for a quiet holiday.However, if we had wanted somewhere with local amenities in walking distance it would not have been for us

Our 2nd time staying at Hilcrest, the location is fab, just a short drive to amenities and Tenby, lovely quiet location with plenty of space for kids to play and the hot tub is amazing! Really relaxing place and great value for money to for all the space. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic getaway location

The location was absolutely perfect. Despite being in a small village, our view was only of fields, so it felt as if we were really secluded and surrounded by peace and quiet. Receiving the keys from Josh was very straightforward and he was very helpful and welcoming. The hottub was fantastic, we'd struggle to get the kids out! The field that Hillcrest is situated in was perfect for our Labrador to stretch his legs. Enjoyed our day out at the nearby Folly Farm which was a short drive from Hillcrest. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful setting and great location for day trips around Pembrokeshire. It was lovely and quiet. And fitted out grown up family well. Easy to get to. Very welcoming host. Would definitely recommend!

The double mattress was a little uncomfortable but it was so peaceful we slept well anyway.

Beautiful accommodation

Hillcrest Barn was spotlessly clean, hosts were lovely, great location and facilities, comfortable and cosy. We visited as a family of 4 with a 5 year old and a baby, and also took our 2 dogs and had a lovely time there and will be returning.

The barn is just amazing. It's so quiet and scenic. Not a firework was heard while we where there (which was great). Dave & Josh where really good hosts. Even when I had a little accident with my razer :/ Bedrooms are comfortable and nice and warm. Only 10-15 mins from Tenby and Saundersfoot and 90 mins from the Mumbles bay. If your looking for quiet and peaceful then look no further!!

Nothing major... First aid kit needs updating as no plasters no tape and no savlon.
