We’re a family of 5 and booked two rooms. Stayed only one night as a last-minute filler between other accommodations. Very conveniently located in La Crucecita. A short walk to grocery stores, taco carts, restaurants, etc. Staff were all great - super friendly and accommodating. The first room we were shown was on the ground floor by the pool and was mouldy. Staff were very understanding and apologetic and when no other standard rooms were available, upgraded us to a juniour suite free of charge. Pool was clean and well maintained. We didn’t try the restaurant because we were in the mood for street food (there’s a great taco cart about two blocks northwest, past the Chedraui), but they had barbecue night set up beside the pool and it looked great, and the general restaurant looked good, too. Does have an elevator for those with accessibility issues, but rooms were not spacious enough to accommodate a wheelchair.
Given the price we paid, it was a bit dated, the two rooms we booked were dark and stuffy. All have a/c, which worked well, but I’d rather have better airflow than feel like I’m in a refrigerator. Internet was spotty, as was the function of the smart TVs. Could occasionally hear cars, party buses, and someone on a microphone but this didn’t seem to continue through the night. This may be worse depending on the day (we stayed on a Sunday night). If accessibility is a factor for you, note that the juniour suite’s beds were in a second floor loft that is only accessed by a set of wooden stairs (there were handrails). Overall, this was fine for a short stay, but I wouldn’t recommend more than a few nights.

Welcoming staff with an excellent breakfast and restaurant. Many nights included live music. We made use of the games room and bar. Comfortable room and a great pool area with lots of tropical plants and tables and chairs for lounging. A shuttle was available to take us to the affiliated beach location with umbrellas, restaurant, and good swimming.
This is not a luxury stay, but very good for a mid-range hotel.

A wonderfully run small hotel
There’s no beach immediately adjacent, but it’s a short walk away

The location and price
It’s very old needs a little update and it is also very old people culture!! if you are a young family with kids, you do not feel welcome to here. They asked for absolutely no noise at the pool all the Canadians give you a weird look like you don’t belong there.

The food at the restaurants was good, and the prices were great.
I stayed at this hotel expecting a relaxing vacation, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I specifically asked twice for blackout curtains, and despite following up, they were never installed nor was I offered any alternative. This might seem like a small detail, but if you're hoping to sleep in during your holiday, it's a big issue.
The room lets in a lot of sunlight, and by 6:00 a.m., it's bright enough to wake you up. If rest and sleep are important to your stay, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The lack of response and follow-through from staff was disappointing.

The location was great. The beds were comfy. The room was clean and staff were courteous and helpful. The pool area was very nice and the chicken soup at the restaurant was exceptional. It was very easy to get a taxi from here.
There was no elevator to the 2nd floor where we were at, but a porter helped quickly. The A/C blew down on me and I had to sleep with a pillow over my head. The bathroom needed more towels.

authentic Spanish, yet modernized, clean, comfortable hotel, central location walk to quality markets, shopping. Also only a 2-4 dollar taxi ride to the close by must seeBahias of the Huatulco. There are different area Temezcales. We went to two and by a very close vote liked the C-Harmony Spa. They provided transportation. Just bring your own soap, shampoo etc as nothing is provided. Apparently that's the custom among the Temezcales. Thank you also to the friendly competent staff at the hotel. The only minor suggestion might be for some more English speakers. Yet that may also be part of the Villa Blanca charm
nada all bueno

The hotel is authentic and the staff working at the reception was very understanding (especially Ulise, that helped me with the check-in and information)
I payed the breakfast at the reception and I had a wonderful stay.
The hotel is very close to the beach and to Santa Cruz centre.
The breakfast is rich.
The water pressure was low and not so hot.
The coffee was not so good.

The hotel is well-located, spacious and the overall price-value is reasonable
Upon our check in around midnight we were super tired and the receptionist was very slow- he gave us the wrong room first, then the wrong key (which didn't work) so it took a long time before we could finally enter our room.
I personally booked this hotel because it apparently had a gym- there's no disclosure whatsoever that the gym is located in another hotel around 5 min walk, once I got there, ready for my workout session, I was told by the staff that the gym was being renovated, therefore out of service- they didn't know this beforehand so it goes to show that they're promising a facility they don't even have ownership of and I tried to make a deal to compensate this lack of communication by suggesting having a stylist come.over and make my nails done ( for my brother's wedding) either in my room or somewhere around the common areas and they completely were against it as it is apparently a hotel policy to not allow this.
Overall the location is good and the price value is alright but I wouldn't stay there again.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights and it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in the staff was super friendly and the hotel just has this charm to it that is lost in a lot of other more "modern" hotels. The hotel is older but well taken care of. The rooms are large and have cute balconies that open up to face the courtyard/pool which is the best part. The pool is large and the overall ambience with the lush trees and plants that surround it and lights at night are magical—making it feel like a tucked away oasis. We didn't think we'd spend as much time here as we did! There is a restaurant on site and every night they have live music. And on one of the days we were there, they had a special chef come and they had set up an open fire bbq where you could get all kinds of steaks and short ribs. It was a really nice surprise we weren't expecting! It's a less than 10 min walk to a big grocery store (the hotel even supplies re-useable bags for you to take shopping) and there is a quiet beach a few blocks away with lots of restaurants and a cute area with converted shipping containers that house cafes and casual restaurants. There are always taxis out front as well in case you want to venture a bit further! It's also walking distance to the nearby town of Crucecita. And don't forget to ask them about their beach club...they had a free shuttle that took us to a quiet part of the beach where they had a sister restaurant where we were able to get a few loungers and enjoy the afternoon! We would love to come back and stay here. It's definitely not a party place if that's what you're looking for. But if you like charming, unique stays and want to relax then I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

The hotel is a Spanish Mexican style , old school which I find very comfortable.I’ve travelled extensively in Mexico staying at the same Mexican owned hotels and travelled in Spain staying at the same types of hotels and enjoy them Also this hotel was extremely clean.
The only minor complaint was with water pressure in the shower. again very minor.

The pool was wonderful, as was the location, the amenities, the staff. Beds were really comfortable. it was nice having a sleep area and an eating space, plus a balcony. Everything was great. we want to return in a year.

comfortable beds, friendly kitchen and restaurant staff, gorgeous pool area. also can’t say enough about the amazing breakfast!
they advertised having a gym but it is in a hotel a few blocks away, and when we got there it appeared to have been closed for a long time.

Pool. All the service staff, especially Tomaso :-) The maids did an exceptional job.
Alex was the bright spot of the hotel. He showed us the real Huatulco. I'll forever be grateful to him.
The back door of our room led to the maintenance and service staff work areas. We could hear them talking, laughing, and banging on walls. I want to make it clear that this is not their fault. The hotel put us in that room. The air conditioner sounded like the engines of the titanic. The electricity went out for half a day. Without the A/C, we, as Irishmen, roasted. Only one person spoke English. Maybe that's not a priority, but it would have helped us.
It's a good hotel, with great people. Pay attention to the details and it will be a great hotel.

Restaurant staff. Pool. A/C in room, although the electricity went out on 10/8. Alex is a great concierge. Tomasa is a wonderful server. Jilberto is our "go-to" guy at the hotel. Mr. Iguana is a big hit.
24-hour coffee/snack availability. I wake up early and there is no coffee anywhere until 8:00. Even the Starbucks at Holiday Inn opens at 7:00. In San Diego, they open at 4:00 AM. The room coffee is not very good.

The facilities are nice
The personal was not responsive at all. I order a salad to my room and they did not bring it. I had to wait one hour and had to go down two times to get my salad. At the end, I carried up my self, and the quality was terrible.
