One of the most exceptional stays I've had in Greece, and if I could give 6 stars to the staff, I would. Spiros and all the staff were amazing. Spiros, the owner, goes above and beyond every moment and frankly, a room is a room, but having staff, especially the owner, to make the stay special, this is what makes great memories. He helped advise on hikes, restaurants and was always going out of his way to help. The breakfast was all fresh local foods, and was one of the meal highlights. There is a beautiful sitting area to have coffee or wine and he sells local wines in his wine cellar. You come here, and you feel like family.
At first, I thought the location was a little out of the way, but frankly, being in town would have been noisy and too busy and you can walk to the center of town within 20 mins, so what seemed like a negative was a positive. It's very quiet and peaceful place to stay. I think the only negative really was that there is some construction of a new road and hotel, which will likely be completed in the off-season this year

The owner wanted to create a boutique hotel and that’s what it is. The hotel is a bit outside of the city center and has a nice views on the mountains, depending which room you choose. By car the center is only a few minutes away. They offer some wine tasting which we didn’t do as we only stayed one night.
Nothing special or important to report

The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The owner, Spiro and his family were extremely helpful and friendly.
The hotel was a little difficult to find.

This was our second time staying at the Epavlis. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. They went out of their way to be sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast is wonderful, and the view . . . breathtaking. We stayed in Room 3 (twice!), and you have two balconies: one faces the rocks behind, and the other gives you a beautiful view of the town, mountains in the distance and a few rocks. During sunset, it's just breathtaking.
We didn't have a problem with this, and it's definitely not the hosts' fault, but the road getting up to the hotel can be a bit challenging because it isn't paved and it's fairly steep. The road is supposed to be fixed at some point, but it's unclear when. It seems intimidating, but it can be done, and it's a short drive. It's not enough of a reason to avoid it. Just be ready for a bit of a gravel road climb. It's very much worth it!!

Amazing hotel...the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, the views from the rooms are spectacular, and the owner, Spiros, is the kindest and friendliest! He gave us great tips and helped us plan our trip. We are definitely going to return!

Friendly helpful staff. Homemade breakfast. Attic for children uniquely decorated.
Gravel road access to the hotel. Somewhat dated interior. Stairs to the attic are steep and narrow.

Atmospheric, very welcoming hosts, excellent breakfast, beautiful quiet location.
No complaints at all, just be aware if you don't have a car and have any mobility issues you might prefer a more central location.

The stay at Epavlis Meteora Suites was great. We booked a standard room and Spiro upgraded our room and it was exceptional. Location, cleanses, the view and the breakfast, everything great.

The location of the hotel is great. You have wonderful views of meteora and the valley below. The hosts are great people. They prepared a delicious breakfast and helped us with everything. Even brought our luggage to the bus station in the end. The breakfast is home made and everything tasted great. We are so happy we stayed here!

Very friendly and hospitable owners that could not do enough for you, Spiros was extremely kind. We had a room that had a great view of Meteora. The buffet breakfast included local foods and was great.
The road to the hotel is only partially paved.

Excellent hotel. Friendly and efficient service, impeccably clean, in a great location (though quite a long and hilly walk from the city centre, a car is required). Rooms are large and very well appointed, AC works great.
Signage to the hotel definitely needs improvement.

On the edge of Kalambaka right under the rock of St Stephen’s monastery this family run hotel is a little gem. A warm welcome, all the information you could want, and eggs from the owner’s own chickens for breakfast. The home made jam was outstanding! Parking, a garden, an easy walk into town and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended.

The location and the building itself. The rooms were big enough and cosy.
During my stay there was a problem with the central heating, as a result I had to warm.up the room with the AC.

Our stay at the hotel was perfect! We were offered a bigger room with a great view from the balconies. It was warm in the room although it’s March and it was rainy outside.
Since there were not many guests at the hotel, there was no traditional buffet. Instead, we could choose what we want for breakfast: it was tasty.
The host was super welcoming, recommended us what to see in the town.
Highly recommend!
Many thanks from your guests from Ukraine

The Rooms were amazing with beautiful views of the Meteora on one side and the Kalambaka town with Snow capped mountains background on the other side. Our room had 2 balconies with tables to relax and even enjoy your food. It's secluded and super calming to stay there. All the amenities like AC, Heater, TV, Kettle, Dryer, Hot Water, Cups, Plates, etc are available.
Mr. Spyros and his Wife (the Owners of the Hotel) make you feel at Home. Starting from receiving us at Bus Stop to dropping us back, we got the utmost care and assistance from the Hosts. Mr. Spyros gives a very good intro about the place and attractions around along with the route maps. We were overwhelmed when they even offered us winter clothes as were slightly underprepared for the weather.
The breakfast is the best we had in our whole Greece tour. They have a huge list of options for Breakfast and let us choose our preferences. They also have Wine Cellar with a great wine collection, so make sure to check it out too.
Would totally recommend the place, especially ones with their own vehicle. We rented a bike on the day we reached and it helped us a lot in making the most of the place.
As beautiful as the location is, it's away from the center with hardly any stores/restaurants nearby. One needs a vehicle for sure to stay here as walking to the center every time you need something isn't ideal. The hotel doesn't have any restaurant inside, so except for breakfast may be some Toast/coffee/tea, we have to rely on the market area to access food.

Spectacular view of the Acropolis. our high floor apartment had a huge balcony looking up at the Parthenon. Modern style and very functional decor. Bathrooms were nicely furnished. Great location just 5 minute walk to the Monasteri Metro Station. John Kappos, the manager, responded quickly to my texts.
