A lovely staycation, staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was central to shops. It was also very clean.

How central it is, staff were accommodating and the place was clean.

Not accessible for people with mobility issues as there are lots of stairs.

Excellent hotel. We will definitely stay again

We have just had 2 lovely nights in this hotel. Staff are very accommodating, the rooms are beautiful and clean. Beds are exceptionally comfortable. Right in the centre of town too. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Great location to the town centre of Douglas

Great location. Town centre is right behind the hotel, a minutes walk even less. Good Wetherspoons round the corner too, Nice breakfast in the morning in the hotel. Recommend the omlette - I did prefer that to the traditional breakfast.

Pillows were far too flat. Using two just made your kneck feel too stiff and propped up. The central heating system - I have read this in a few several other comments. However wasn’t sure if it would be certain rooms - our room was the same, heating was so loud like a loud boiler noise if I had the radiator on! So it stayed off. But was warm enough.

The location as always is convenient and I was there on business. Breakfasts were good though service was not at its usual level. I had completely forgotten to book space for dinner on the two nights (as never had to in the past when a small 2 or 3 person party). However it is Christmas and the place was booked out - would have been nice for the hotel to drop a line a few days earlier and asked whether we would like to book. Room was comfortable and with kettle, tea/coffee and biscuits - WIFI was good too.

The lifts weren't working for the two nights I stayed over (so was able to add to my steps climbing the stairs). My room was on 2nd floor far along the passage and facing into the small alley, with frosted glass on the lower section of the window for privacy. I have stayed here numerous times both front/back, however this was the first time that when walking into the small bathroom and turning right to the toilet, I had to SQUEEZE between the basin and the wall with a gap that was no larger than my hip width and I have a 34 inch waist. Very strange.

Left feeling shattered and body is sore from the mattress

Modern inside great location food is on point

Bedroom had no air conditioning far too hot mattress was solid as a rock very uncomfortable. Bathroom needs attention to an uplift.

Location excellent, staff so helpful, welcoming and friendly. Amazing breakfast with large array of choice. Our room had a view not pleasing but breakfast made up for the view and fantastic views from restaurant.

Great hotel, delicious food & welcoming staff

Perfect location although street parking is tricky it’s only a few minutes walk from long stay car park. Welcoming & helpful staff. Food at breakfast was delicious and evening meal in Coast was lovely too.

Not a dislike, more of a recommendation, but if anyone has mobility issues they should inform hotel before staying as many rooms on 3rd floor where our room was located were down steep individual staircases which if my 80 year old mum had had any of those rooms she would have really struggled.

We had a lovely stay in Douglas and the weather was surprisingly good.

Plenty of choice, the staff are delightful, and the premises are excellent. The food is very good, and the bar is well stocked. The staff took the time to help with choices and recommendations. Even the trainees were keen to please, but knew their limitations ! The room was serviced everyday, and was very comfortable.

The room heating and lighting controls are still a mystery after four nights .

Pleasent Hotel a Seaview room next time

The breakfast was lovely

The room we stayed in was at the back of the building above what we think are the kitchen extra fans which started up very early in the morning. The alley way attracted pigeons and the room had feathers in it every day as we needed the window open to let in air. There was no full length mirror or abn appropriately positioned mirror near a plug socket to allow me to do my hair.

A hotel with a decent cup of coffee? Impossible!

Jokes aside, this hotel had a very good breakfast. The breakfast is served by the staff which are really professional, and the coffee they offer you is actually quite good, compared to most hotels which have these automatic rubbish machines. The room is good, and the bathroom is huge, they have a shower and a bath which felt quite luxurious. The location is amazing, just outside the promenade and 5 minutes walk from the sea terminal. Great value for your money.

Fabulous hotel -will definitely be back

Brilliant hotel, very friendly and accommodating staff particularly in the restaurant. Food both breakfast and evening meals were a very high standard

As clearly stated, there is no air-con in the rooms. Whilst only 20degrees outside the room (3rd floor) still got hot and stuffy - a fan was provided.

The staff were very helpful even though we arrived late due to the ferry not turning up.

One barman did not want to serve us due to the coffee machine being turned off. But he did and it was very nice, but then would not let us pay there and then and had to pay at the desk the next day.
