Affordable location for exploring Strasbourg

Great location. Very convenient for exploring the sites of the city. Also well maintained property.

The room I was disappointing, not sure about other rooms at this hotel.

Location is very close to all the activities.

No chair in the room, just a hard stool. My back got sore using it. No suitcase rack or table so suitcase had to stay on the floor. Light switch for the light over the bed was by the entrance so when you were done reading in bed you had to get out of bed and go across the room, turn off the light and get back to bed in the dark. There is a large built in piece of furniture. Part of it is a desk with a shelf above it. The shelf juts out further than the desk so whenever I stood up I’d hit my head on it or when I leaned in to look at something on the desk I’d hit my head. The shower head could not be pointed away from the shower curtain. It would turn back towards the shower opening and flooding the floor. I had to hold it with one hand or turn it off when I needed two hands to wash my hair and then turn it back on.

The hotel is a wonderful old building in the heart of the city. My room was a bit quirky, quite cosy, but had everything I needed.

The location was very good.

Considering the cost of the accommodationi, we were disappointed to find it didn't include breakfast; the room was very small & having the shower over a bath was not ideal/dangerous. I had to ask for clean towels & a toilet roll on one day...and was handed one!!!

Excellent hotel in a beautiful city.

Traditional hotel, very pretty and quiet, slept very well. Excellent location for everything, near all the restaurants and cafes, cathedral just around the corner, lovely to hear the bells chiming. Staff very friendly and approachable, excellent buffet breakfast was included. I would definitely stay here again, felt sad to leave.

Central location, easy to come and go

There’s nothing to dislike, we knew we had a smaller room on top floor not facing the cathedral, big it was comfortable and a good price. We appreciated the lifts!

A charming, but quirky, Hotel Suisse, the perfect location for exploring the historic city.

The hotel location is wonderful, just off the square between the Palais Rohan and the right side of the gorgeous Cathedral. The nighttime view of the Cathedral from our window was very fine. And we enjoyed the bells. We were just two blocks from the river, with the fine walk to La Petite France, and the tour boats. The hotel is centrally-located for a tourist in the Old Town, near museums, picturesque buildings, lots of restaurants and chic stores, the Tourist Information spot, and souvenir and gourmet food shops. The building is very old, and is traditionally furnished, with a charming breakfast room. The staff was friendly and available at all times. The breakfast was extra, but pleasantly and generously presented.

When the building was modernized and reconfigured, our bedroom ended up a bit small, but the bathroom is enormous, but quirky. All very modern. I do not like the ceramic bowl-on-top-of-a-counter sink that is currently in vogue. Splashes water all about. The shower was 10' long, with a 5' glass wall -- also splashes a lot. The toilet was at the end of its own long, narrow room in one corner. Odd. No hooks on the wall for towels or clothing. But the hot water was readily available. No AC, but opening windows -- sometimes noisy from tour groups walking up the otherwise quiet street to visit the Cathedral. No elevator + narrow, steep stairs.

A good place to stay in Strasbourg

The staff were superb - welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. The property was clean, safe, and well located. Our room was typically small for a hotel like this one, but otherwise comfortable. The bath facilities were modern.

A room just a bit larger would have been welcome. But this is not to complain.

This hotel is a very good choice for a stay in Strasbourg

Wonderful location; around 100m from the Cathedral but is off to the side away from noisy crowds. Charming comfortable building. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff

My single room on the top floor was too warm for me at night (in mid-May). The shower stall has a very low ceiling; I am only 1.77m tall and just fit. Anyone taller may want to avoid booking this room.

The location was very central and close to all the sites we wanted to see. The Cathedral is within just a few metres away. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff members were helpful and friendly.

Location. Lift availability is really important if you are with luggage. Room view is for Cathédrale.

The room is old fashioned. A bit noisy during nights because of many restaurants available around the hotel.

We were very pleased with the hotel, the location, and the kind staff.

Excellent location, very near to all the sights of the old town, all easy to find for walkers. The accommodation was small but very adequate and typical for a classic European hotel of that age.

The streets were noisy at night, no fault of the hotel, but I would suggest bringing earplugs.

The location is perfect!! The team is attentive. They send us instructions to park our car in the public parking nearby, very useful. It was a great stay for one night. Silent ando comfortable room, with cathedral’s view!

Perfect Location

Our second time here - location is amazing, close all the tourist stuff. Staff are lovely and friendly, helpful. Very small but cosy hotel. Excellent hot showers.

Only issue was the family room didn't have separate beds for the kids and only a baby cot for small ones so didn't fit our need. The kids survived but it would be nice to have a more family friendly set up in the family room. And the rooms were very cold/radiators were not on as the outside temp was higher than normal so we were a little chilly but the big blankets on the beds were great.

The breakfast was good, not great. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.

Next time, I wouldn’t pay extra for the “cathedral view”. We were told by one staff member that no late check-out is possible. The next morning, a different staff member said it is possible, albeit at an extra charge.

A humble and quaint hotel in the heart of Strasbourg

There are so many things I loved about this hotel. First was the price--it was a great value for money considering that the hotel is located in the heart of Strasbourg. The location was perfect and literally within walking distance from the cathedral. Petit France is a bit further away but it only takes approximately 10 minutes to walk there. The hotel room I chose was tiny but quaint and had a great view of the cathedral. I heard that they serve a good breakfast but unfortunately I never had the chance to try. Overall I enjoyed my stay here. It was beautiful and peaceful, I might come back to this hotel when I visit Strasbourg again in the future.

Do not expect state of the art facilities since this is a tiny hotel, but I really don't have any complaints!

Not a comfortable stay

Good location. Nice looking building.

Insufficient bench space in room. No space for suitcase. Hot and stuffy. Noisy from street. Poor security: room keys kept on hooks near open front door not always manned by staff.
