Good location for our purposes and good room layout, needs a bit of care in terms of the shower etc.

Location, room size, bathroom and layout.

Dripping shower, some lights not working, just a curtain in the large window and it was facing the main and other flats so couldn't really open it unless dressed fully. A louvered blind would allow light in but maintain privacy.

Not coming back

Location near the O2.

Cleaning wasn’t great. Bottles in the hallway and dirty dishes everywhere. Lots of noise in the middle of the night, sound isolation is poor. No one picking up calls at the reception nor responding on Booking. Lack of maintenance overall.

Recent room improvements have really made a difference

The restaurant was spacious with lovely views of the quays. There was a good choice of hot food as well as cereals and Danish pastries. The best experience in the restaurant was the evening meal. I can recommend the piping hot Lancashire Hotpot with a glass of pinot grigio (It was a very cold evening!!) My room was spacious with great views of Salford quays. A new flat screen television and new office chair were definite improvements on my last visit. I always have some work to do even if travelling to see family/ or leisure, so important to me. The good size fridge was well used. All in all I enjoyed my room. I'm not sure whether I was given an upgrade but I certainly got value for money as I got a very good rate. Tram to Manchester city centre was literally across the road and takes about 10 minutes All the staff, without exception were warm friendly and efficient. Ill be back

Great location with easy access by tram into Central Manchester; comfortable and with good food.

Great location 2 mins walk to Salford Exchange tram station into central Manchester; 15 mins walk to Salford Quays (Lowry Gallery, restaurants and shopping). Good size, comfortable bedroom. Great breakfast and good range of reasonably priced dinner options. Friendly staff.

We have stayed her before, and probably will do again, but a few minor irritations somewhat marred out visit this time..

Location was convenient for walking to the Lowry theatre.

After an online message from the hotel the day before our arrival, we requested an upgrade to a Club room which offered extras, and were told that we would get a confirmation email if this request was granted. Nothing came, so on the morning of travel we tried ringing the hotel for 2 hours to check the status of our request, but failed to get an answer.. On our arrival, we asked at Reception and were told that yes, our upgrade was available. Staff were pleasant and helpful in this instance. Our room was - as advertised, a larger room, and should have included robes and slippers, but there was only one set. There were no drinking glasses in the bathroom, we were on our way to a show so there was no time to discuss these matters, so we let it go. The following morning, there was a breakdown of communication between Reception and the breakfast staff, re was slight confusion as to whether we had paid for breakfast. Yogi the, on Reception was extremely helpul and cleared up this issue.

Good location for Bowlers exhibition Centre with free parking for guests

The hotel has free parking. Good location for the festival we went to at Bowlers exhibition. Breakfast had a nice selection on offer. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Location is good. Free parking.

Hotel is tired. It need updating. Breakfast could be better. Coffee machine was dire. Mushrooms were too peppery. On the plus side, vegetarian sausages were great bur you did have to ask for them. Drinks were expensive, 18 pounds for two glasses of wine.

Good for a bed to sleep in but not worth the money we paid.

Location was ideal and rooms were large.

Bathrooms are dated. The shower went from a reasonable temperature to as hot as kettle water without any warning, wouldn’t stay a steady temperature. When you ran the bath gunk floated up from the plug hole.

I stay in lots of hotels in the UK and abroad. The Copthorne is in my top 10. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and had plenty of cupboard space. The bathroom had plenty of fluffy white towels, and also good quality shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap dispensers.

The large television was great, but it was difficult for an older person, I'm 71, to navigate the mass of buttons. The shower was great, but needed brute force to turn off. The bath hot tap only worked sporadically. There was no toilet brush.

Good value for money stay and fab views

Great view from our room . Fab location.

Bit dusty around the edges . Could do with a room revamp. On arrival one member of staff was a bit grumpy when we arrived at 2pm , check in was 3pm . I had mentioned I had tried to book early check in but could not see it . He didn’t even look to see if my room was ready . Other hotels do , then said to me check in is 3pm but come after that as it gets very busy . I came back at 3 and checked in as was stared . Other thing to point is it can be quite noisy.

The location was fantastic. Staff were attentive and the gym was useful. Free parking was a real bonus.

The interior of the rooms were very tired and really need refurbishing. The bathroom was a good size but mouldy around the taps. The bed was really hard ( not a bad thing if you like that).

Location was good for what we wanted and the staff were friendly. Free parking which was also handy.

The hotel itself is tired and worn out. Nothing seemed or looked clean, the hand soap in the bathroom was never replenished. Overall we used the hotel as a base, but I wouldn't recommend it in its current state.

Our stay was wonderful,

The location was brilliant for us as a short walk to the Cricket ground. The staff were all helpful and willing to assist. All in all we had a great 4 day stay. We also had wonderful views from our room of the quay.

Everything is tired and needs updating, but they know this as there is a mood board in reception, I believe with how they intend to change things. It did not ruin our stay or anything, but they still charge a premium price for a run down room 🙃

Copthorne Hotel Manchester is fabulous!!

The room was really lovely and a good size. The TV was nice and big. Comfortable bed and I found the pillows perfect although my hubby found 1 pillow too low and 2 too high. Having said that, some men are more difficult than others😁 Having not been to Manchester before, I did not realise how far out of town Salford Quays is to Manchester city. The location is lovely and good for activities in Salford Quays. Close to Old Trafford which we stumbled upon.

I can't say I disliked anything. The room was spacious and comfortable. If there is anything I have to comment on, is that the location if far out of Manchester city. Having not been in Manchester before, I was not sure how far out of town it is.

There's a 'mood board' on display-I feel some refurbishment may take place soon: whoop

We have stayed here a few times now, so we know the standard of facility on offer. Its ideal for Salford Quays and the amenities around there. We did not eat here at all. For added security now you can only access the upper floors with a valid key card. Don't forget to register your car details on their laptop pad on reception or else you may get charged for parking.

Comfortable, quiet room - had a great night's sleep. I only stayed one night so limited interaction with staff, but the reception and breakfast teams were all friendly, efficient and welcoming.

Beautiful hotel in very close proximity to Old Trafford and beautiful bars and restaurants around the Quays. Also very close to the Coronation Street set. We had breakfast included at the hotel and there was a large variety of full english breakfast options, yoghurts & fruit, muffins and pastries, toast, tea, coffee & juices. The room had plenty of space, a nice bathroom with a shower, a TV, a large dressing table area and a beautiful view of the Quays. On our second day we took the metro which was very cheap into the city centre. Overall a great trip!

So much potential to be an exceptional hotel…

The room is spacious, the sheets and towels were very clean, the location is perfect.

Although I registered my car when I arrived at the property, surprisingly I received a fine when I came back home… it really made the whole experience very disappointing. At the arrival date, the room was full of dust, the frigobar didn’t work, the hairdryer didn’t work, the sink was leaking water and the toilet was not flushing properly.
