Nice view from 4th floor Club Room. Great Breakfast buffet.. Very convenient location. Staff very helpful. Good carparking available.
Initially put in a 2nd floor Club room that looked directly onto the side of a roof. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes and cigarette ends were jammed in the window frame and on the ledge outside. Once pointed out, we were quickly relocated.
Fitted furniture seen better days.

Softer mattress, but other than that, amazing.

Good location for the concert we were seeing but a little out of the way for anything else
The bath/shower
I was surprised that there was no separate shower as it was a bath aswell
Not ideal as the floor was really slippery when wet and the bath was really deep and extremely hard to get out

Bed was comfy , check in girl was very helpful
Room was very dated and furniture was in terrible condition.Windows didnt close properly so was very drafty and outside noise was noticible .Shower dripped all night long and sound proofing between rooms was non existant.Breakfast was the worst i have ever had ,every item was cold and many tables were covered in dirty plates.

I like the location and the fact it has a good car park. Would be even better if there was an EV charging point.
Shower room was very tired with some loose fixtures but overall the shower was good with great pressure and plenty hot water.
No staff on the bar and after waiting for a good 10 minutes, we had to ask reception staff to get someone to serve us.

We travelled to watch a fooball match at Old Trafford. So easy to walk to the ground. We were in a room that had a lovely view over Salford Quay. Rooms were spacious even for 2 adults and a child

Breakfast was very nice
Staff were very pleasant
Car parking
Banging of doors
Not enough electric plug sockets in my room
6.0 / 10.0
Comfortable beds, nice view, convenient location complimentary coffee and good pressure shower
Dated, lipstick on the cup, can’t control the temperature and no extra blankets, strong cigarette smoke smell coming through the bathroom vent, could be cleaner in the bathroom.
4.0 / 10.0
Location was good, easy to get to and ample parking.
Rooms were tired and In need of updating. Separate taps! Old fashioned shower, difficult to get the right temp, good pressure but tiny shower head that couldn't be adjusted, Typical TV set up having to go through hotel menu, beds are bit hard and weird duvet! Breakfast was average, coffee machine not working. Overcharged but was rectified when pointed out.

Room a bit outdated. Needs a new bathroom. No water provided in the room.

Location was good, ample parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast which was value for money.
Decor is a little dated. After an 2 hours the electrics stopped working in my room. I was then given an alternative room. The fridge didn’t work in the new room.
Hotel was quit noisy , lots of banging of doors and what sounded like pipe / heating noises

8.0 / 10.0
Location, room size, bathroom and layout.
Dripping shower, some lights not working, just a curtain in the large window and it was facing the main and other flats so couldn't really open it unless dressed fully. A louvered blind would allow light in but maintain privacy.

Location near the O2.
Cleaning wasn’t great. Bottles in the hallway and dirty dishes everywhere. Lots of noise in the middle of the night, sound isolation is poor. No one picking up calls at the reception nor responding on Booking. Lack of maintenance overall.

Great location 2 mins walk to Salford Exchange tram station into central Manchester; 15 mins walk to Salford Quays (Lowry Gallery, restaurants and shopping). Good size, comfortable bedroom. Great breakfast and good range of reasonably priced dinner options. Friendly staff.
Bathroom was a little dated.

The restaurant was spacious with lovely views of the quays. There was a good choice of hot food as well as cereals and Danish pastries. The best experience in the restaurant was the evening meal. I can recommend the piping hot Lancashire Hotpot with a glass of pinot grigio (It was a very cold evening!!)
My room was spacious with great views of Salford quays. A new flat screen television and new office chair were definite improvements on my last visit. I always have some work to do even if travelling to see family/ or leisure, so important to me. The good size fridge was well used. All in all I enjoyed my room. I'm not sure whether I was given an upgrade but I certainly got value for money as I got a very good rate.
Tram to Manchester city centre was literally across the road and takes about 10 minutes
All the staff, without exception were warm friendly and efficient. Ill be back
The hot breakfast was warm, even lukewarm. Needed to be hotter for me.

This property was so cheap to book, was close to the venue we needed to be at for a concert. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms were tidy and hotel was quiet
Nothing, everything was good

Location was convenient for walking to the Lowry theatre.
After an online message from the hotel the day before our arrival, we requested an upgrade to a Club room which offered extras, and were told that we would get a confirmation email if this request was granted. Nothing came, so on the morning of travel we tried ringing the hotel for 2 hours to check the status of our request, but failed to get an answer.. On our arrival, we asked at Reception and were told that yes, our upgrade was available. Staff were pleasant and helpful in this instance. Our room was - as advertised, a larger room, and should have included robes and slippers, but there was only one set. There were no drinking glasses in the bathroom, we were on our way to a show so there was no time to discuss these matters, so we let it go. The following morning, there was a breakdown of communication between Reception and the breakfast staff, re was slight confusion as to whether we had paid for breakfast. Yogi the, on Reception was extremely helpul and cleared up this issue.

The bar area was very good and locality to tram stations and road network
Room decor slightly dated.
Also the noise from tumble dryers early in morning

The hotel has free parking. Good location for the festival we went to at Bowlers exhibition. Breakfast had a nice selection on offer. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Very helpful and friendly staff
I think the rooms are a little tired in terms of decor, fixtures and fittings. They need to spend on an upgrade in this regard.

Location is good. Free parking.
Hotel is tired. It need updating. Breakfast could be better. Coffee machine was dire. Mushrooms were too peppery. On the plus side, vegetarian sausages were great bur you did have to ask for them. Drinks were expensive, 18 pounds for two glasses of wine.
5.0 / 10.0
Location was ideal and rooms were large.
Bathrooms are dated. The shower went from a reasonable temperature to as hot as kettle water without any warning, wouldn’t stay a steady temperature. When you ran the bath gunk floated up from the plug hole.

I stay in lots of hotels in the UK and abroad. The Copthorne is in my top 10. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and had plenty of cupboard space. The bathroom had plenty of fluffy white towels, and also good quality shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap dispensers.
The large television was great, but it was difficult for an older person, I'm 71, to navigate the mass of buttons.
The shower was great, but needed brute force to turn off.
The bath hot tap only worked sporadically.
There was no toilet brush.

The location of this hotel is handy, as it’s not to far from the city centre with good shops and amenities
The hotel could do with being updated and a little renovation
8.0 / 10.0
Great view from our room . Fab location.
Bit dusty around the edges . Could do with a room revamp.
On arrival one member of staff was a bit grumpy when we arrived at 2pm , check in was 3pm . I had mentioned I had tried to book early check in but could not see it . He didn’t even look to see if my room was ready . Other hotels do , then said to me check in is 3pm but come after that as it gets very busy . I came back at 3 and checked in as was stared . Other thing to point is it can be quite noisy.

The location was fantastic. Staff were attentive and the gym was useful. Free parking was a real bonus.
The interior of the rooms were very tired and really need refurbishing. The bathroom was a good size but mouldy around the taps.
The bed was really hard ( not a bad thing if you like that).

the room was lovely very clean & the bed was very comfortable...got a free drinks voucher but they never said why, a lovely man on reception let me have a free coffee
the furniture could do with updating, very old shower, very out of date, also on arrival the staff at reception looked unhappy, think they,d possibly had a double booking..
