Strong smell of air freshener

We were pleasantly surprised to be met with a large, clean room. Plenty of space to put our stuff away, a fantastic selection of sundries, and a mini fridge! Add check it made it really convenient for our late arrival after a wedding. Check out at 11am was a treat compared to the usual 10!

Found it a bit hard to work out where to get in / how to get into the building

bathroom there was body lotion which was a bonus to me as i had not carried my own.

The booking said breakfast included but after the confirmation I received an email saying that breakfast is not included.

Mattress was super bad.

It was clean and well presented outside and as well as the bedroom & bathroom which were well equipped.

Socket not near enough to plug in phone and keep on bedside table. Towels could have been larger.

Conveniently located for me, as close to work and had everything I needed for a work overnight stay.

Rooms and location

No breakfast or evening meal. No bar. No staff on site. Noisy people in the chalets drinking outside until gone 1am every night. Totally inconsiderate I had work and a couse with exams. Probably failed due to lack of sleep

Kids running up and down communal staurs late at night from the room opposite Noisy neighbours outside Music coming from what sounded like downstairs at 5.39am

Location was good. Parking free.

The bed and pillows were horrible. Definitely need to upgrade this. While it didn’t bother us it might pay to note that you have to walk up and carry luggage up flights of stairs. If your on the 3rd floor like us then the staircase is super narrow

They don’t open the bar , not for the last 2 yrs the owner told me and they don’t do evening meals as advertised on booking . Com

All was just right for us, we had a room in the main building this time we loved it room was lovely facilities spot on

The Hosts were very nice and friendly and helpful . The room was very nice and clean the bed was also comfy . It had a good size bathroom . The hotel also had a car park and a well stocked bar downstairs . The location was excellent as i was attending an event at the local Westlands centre which was only a few minites walk away . Overall a very nice stay .

The location of the property was fair. Had a local shop just a few minutes walk from the property as well as a park and a restaurant called “The Bell Inn”.

If you’re staying with family which include/involve children then please don’t bother. There is too many stairs to carry your luggage let alone a pram. The staff were friendly and helped, but was definitely a headache if we wanted to go out. The room was spacious, it included a mini fridge freezer which was ideal for our stay considering it was quite hot outside. I will say however the beds were VERY uncomfortable. Solid mattresses, uncomfortable pillows and very noisy beds! The shower head was filthy. Like it hasn’t been cleaned or replaced for years. The cold tap for the sink was warm and the hot tap for the sink was acceptable. Carpet was filthy, do NOT wear white socks unless you like the colour black. Such a shame about this hotel. Although the location is decent and the staff were very friendly and helpful, I don’t think I’d come to this hotel again with my family. Maybe for a solo visit if it was a short stay and I was on a budget. But no other reason.

Room was big just quirky being in the converted loft

Toilet was loose on the floor. And the plugs in the room stopped working in the morning any there was no1 around to twll

The room was clean and comfortable apart from the pillows that for me were really hard and as no staff I couldn't ask for any softer ones. So I had to purchase some.

When we arrived we did see some staff however they don't do breakfast or food. Also the bar was closed that night as they had a function the next day( which we were attending a wake.) We saw staff at the wake but as soon as it was finished they closed the bar. This was Friday afternoon we were leaving Sunday. We never saw any staff after the Friday. Strange hotel. No staff no bar and no food. Yet they are advertising all.

The room was spacious and had all of the necessary things. The welcome package was a nice touch and we were also pleasantly surprised to see an impressive victorian bath as well as a shower. The property is located away from any big roads so road noise was minimal and we had ample choice for parking. It was also very useful to receive instructions with pictures as to how to get inside the room.

You could wish for the walls to be thicker but all in all there were no significant negatives for our stay.

Quiet, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and great value for money

Couldnt possibly find anything negative about my stay.

Breakfast was not included as original booking said, but I was contacted promptly with this explained and I still feel the price to be fair. The room was spacious with a spacious bathroom as well. The bed itself was comfortable and everything was exceptionally clean.

No breakfast facilities

Avoid, avoid, avoid. There is no pub, there is no restaurant. Its says its a Bed And Breakfast. But, nah.. no breakfast No staff, no reception, no signs, no one answers the phone.... this makes faulty towers seem like the ritzy. Avoid at all costs.

The parking was good and the room was secure and reasonably equipped

Having specifically searched for a hotel with parking and breakfast and booked and paid for the room I was later informed by email from the hotel that they no longer provide either breakfast or evening meals, after receiving this disappointing news on the next day when I was due to check in I received a telephone call to advise me that there would not be any Receptionist on duty and that I would have to carry out a self-check in , photographs were provided via Whatsapp to enable me to do this, on arrival I did eventually meet a lady who was monitoring phone calls and she explained that their Receptionist was ill, I do not understand why she could not have stood in for the Receptionist because her absence also resulted in their being no bar facilities - later on in the evening as I was returning from a local pub which I used in order to eat I was approached by another guest who had locked himself out of his room, he had tried to call the hotel number without much success but did eventually receive a call back and was told that he might have to wait for up to 2 hours for the owner to arrive with a key !!! - shocking, I do not believe this establishment should be called a hotel, a better description would be "Preston Accommodation"

The bedroom was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We were sent easy to follow check-in instructions to get our key. The hotel does not serve breakfast but we were happy bring our own snacks and this also meant a nice lie in as check out time is not till 11am. The hotel has its own parking.

We liked everything and were very comfortable from start to finish. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished, the bathroom large and clean and lovely hot shower.

1st night in a room was very cold , bathroom was separate across the hall way also very cold 🥶

The size of the deluxe room

The reception is mostly unattended and if this is the case and you arrive late at the hotel, you cannot check-in and after 8pm the reception is closed and locked and then in the night you are obliged to find another hotel even when you paid for the room. My suggestion is to avoid to book a room in this hotel as you can face the risk of being not accommodated and pay extra money elsewhere (this happened to me).

Location

Everything was closed till 4pm. I arrived earlier hoping to check-in but needed to wait a long time outside in the rain before the housekeeping lady was eventually able to contact management for a key. I sent a timely email requesting an early check-in, as stipulated in the conditions of booking, but this was never acknowledged. To add insult to injury, I still had to pay a further £10 for entering my room about an hour earlier. I did not like having to share a bathroom. I did not see anybody from management, in fact there was nobody around at all - besides a young man informing me of a fire drill, which I was told to ignore. The building certainly lacked a friendly and inviting ambiance. Breakfast was offered when I previously booked the room, but the following morning there was nobody around for me to organize this. Everything was closed up, with no life in the building at all. By the time I checked out, before 11am, there was still nobody around. I called management to see where to leave my key, and was told to just leave it in a pot near the back door. And that was that… I walked away with a very empty feeling which I have yet to experience in many of my previous travels. All in all, a disappointing time in this establishment.

Not all of the usual food items were available for a complete English breakfast.
