Tierra de Biescas

Very clean. Spacious. Quiet. Could not enjoy the breakfast nor the spa, but they looked great.

Nothing really. Was just for 1 day.

Quiet hotel on edge of village with small carpark. Efficient air con in large spa bath room (219). Nice sofa area with open fire near reception I imagine it’s lovely in winter. Some staff helpful, some not 😬

Pool wasn’t open and there was no where to relax after sauna, we had to argue with man on reception to access loungers on the lawn! He said parasols were not allowed by law until June lol. Room facilities not consistent with a 4* with few towels (had to pay extra for a spa towel!) and shared plug between tv/coffee machine, also no mini bar as advertised?

Modern hotel run by 3 btothers one of whom designed the hotel - clean, modern,comfortable and a little tired in places - great for an overnight stop. About 200 metre flat walk into village where there are a number of bars for a beer.

The restaurant is down in the basement and there is no bar until the restaurant opens at 7.30pm - the food in the restaurant was not great but the breakfast was ok

The price which was not too high for Spain (ca 80$ per night off season). The town is also quite nice.

Dysfunctional design is probably the best summary of this hotel. Some examples: We did not find any way to control the heat in the room and it was blasting hot during the day until around 12am (could not sleep beneath the covers) and around 3 am it was uncomfortably cold. The shower was located IN the bedroom which is very awkward if you want to make calls while somebody else is in the shower especially because the only desk (which only fits 1 person in a 2 person room!) is located directly across the shower (full webcam view ....). The WC is just separated by a thin slide door which pockets in - you can hear everything.... Remember, this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel! More things: We looked everywhere for a do not disturb sign - couldn't find it. The shower in the bathtub had no curtain just a very narrow glass window so the floor (remember this is also your room!) is wet after every shower. Also the room is very noisy, the hotel was nearly empty and we heard everything going on in our neighbors room. This would be OK for a small 2 star AirBnB but not a 4 star hotel.
