Great family hotel, great staff.

The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive. The room (refurbished one) was very nice, clean, beautiful view to the mountains. Food was pretty good for a family hotel. Great shuttle service. And did I say, the staff was very friendly :)

A bit run down in parts. Water in the pool too cold / missing a jacuzzi/ hot pool area. The play area is actually a nice idea, but somehow not very welcoming and the installations not too interesting for what the big hall could offer.

Awesome stay at a great hotel with only 2 small things to improve..

I loved the spacy room, excellent breakfast and dinner and a great spa and pool. The shuttle bus was perfect and flexible. The staff was very friendly.

Only 2 small things: 1) I had contacted the property before my arrival via booking.com message and then via on-line chat. In both cases I only got 1 answer back, but no further info to my further questions. As a result, I had to book a table in the restaurant for dinner again once I arrived at the reception. I booked all 3 days of my stay but when I came to the restaurant on the 2nd evening, I realized the reservation was not there. 2) The yoga mats in the fitness centre are very dirty.

It was very. lean and I loved the wellness facilities.

For me it would have been better if they included water kettles and tea in the rooms. I also missed amenities like conditioner and body lotion.

Excellent spot for a quiet weekend in the mountains.

Quiet setting, not far from the train station, with plenty of parking spaces. Both lifts within walking distance. Large room with panoramic view. Very friendly and flexible personnel. Exceptional breakfast, just a shame we couldn't eat more :-).

Good hotel and very suited for families

Very helpful staff good location and restaurant and bar very cosy chalet style although quite a big hotel. Breakfast excellent and good sized room with lovely balcony view. Pool was quite cold but a good size for swimming.

The staff was really supportive and helpful for all things related to kids: we got a water boiler to prepare the little one's milk, and the staff looking after the kids were really perfect, and allowed us to spend time at the bar, a rare luxury. The swimming pool was a big hit and we really appreciated the massages.

While breakfast was perfectly fine, evening meals were overpriced and neither healthy nor good. When the kid's spaghetti with tomato sauce is not good, you really failed at cooking… Either have “à la carte” dishes, or a buffet, but having both (overpriced), that's really a horrible combination.

The hotel offers everything a family could wish for.

The beds. Might be that it was our error to have chosen double bed. There was always a gap building in the middle. Not confortable for bed sports too. The cleaning service should take a look under the beds too, especially because it is so easy to push them away from each other... There was plenty of dirt in there...

The hotel facilities are nice, very cosy and nice sauna, good restaurant and arranged transfer. Nice personnel.

The rooms are terrible, old carpet and furniture, old bathroom with curtains and it’s not possible to take shower without floating. Rooms were like in a 2 start hotel for a price of 5*. Low value for money and big disappointment.

Incredible family weekend escape

Amazing hotel in every possible sense. Service was excellent (e.g. hot milk for my son delivered in the room late in night), the staff was helpful and very friendly. The indoor playground was incredible and open till late. The restaurant excellent (both dinner and breakfast). Shuttle service to the train station. Huge rooms, free Minibar (non alcoholic)

We should stay longer :-)

Very nice hotel with great location, quiet area and very beautiful scenery! Reception was really nice and helpful, breakfast amazing! And the spa very good as well, modern and quite a lot to do.

Room was good but not as excepted compared to pictures. However very clean and comfortable.

Stunning views and relax for a weekend getaway

View from the room is absolutely stunning! we were lucky to come in a quiet weekend, therefore we had most of the facilities for ourselves which was great. swimming pool while watching the mountains is incredible, spa area with the saunas is super nice and modern. loved to relax on the quiet room while reading a book with panoramic views. the hotel is nearby the town so we went for dinner and when we returned we decided to do a bowling session, which was great, with football table and pinball. breakfast was also very good and a lot of variety and still beautiful views. 10/10

Decent stay in Arosa

The rooms are very comfy and relatively spacious. The breakfast selection is reliable (they even have other milk options but you have to ask the waiters). They also have a lounge so you can have some drinks before dinner. There is a shuttle from the hotel ~every 30mins in the morning to the slopes.

The restaurant selection could have been better (the daily menu and the a la carte) as they were very beef focused, as is the case with all other Sunstar hotels :)

Expected more

The location was great. Especially happy To have spent extra on a room with a view. Easy walk to the main train station. My kids loved the indoor fun zone- the trampoline and bounce house.

I guess I expected more in terms of hotel decor. I wasn’t blown away with it. The carpets looked a bit worn in the hallways and tired but our room seemed fresh and updated. The pool was nothing special. Definitely not for babies as their was not separate baby area. The water wasn’t warm or as warm as the sign stated, my son was shivering after about 20 minutes. The bowling alley was fine but neither my 5 or 8 year old could even lift the lightest ball. Dinner was good in terms of food albeit the service was extremely slow. Never mind trying to get offered or even the chance to ask for a second glass of wine. The second night it took about 15 mins from the time we were all finished to get the bill and the third night I basically walked up to the register to stand there to get it.

Dishonest management, I don’t recommend

We agreed on a certain price at check in, at check out ended with a very different bill. The person who had agreed to the deal was off when we checked out, and the manager clearly implied we were lying. We spent all meals in the hotels, got massages etc. Not a commercial gesture towards us to compensate for the supposed misunderstanding- very unprofessional!!! We will not be back

Great get-away!!

Fantastic staff all around! I had a great room with balcony and view on the stunning mountains - I left the curtains open, just to enjoy this fantastic surroundings day and night. I celebrated my birthday there this year and they went extra steps to make it a special experience! Spa has a fantastic rest area with a spectacular mountain view. Despite the hotel being family friendly, they seperate the families out in the dining area, so no problems with having a peaceful, dinner for the other guests. Great food btw!!

Spa is also nice - just a little small when it's full in COVID times. Although the number of people in the spa is limited now, there's no limits indicated for the specific sauna's, so you're very dependent on the others there with you.
