perfect in absolutely every way - a Mary Poppins Stay

The entrance room was flabbergasting - a real sports car and pictures of sports cars. A very nice lady in the breakfast room and great receptionists every time I approached them. Excellent room with a bed on a gallery. We were absolutely taken. We felt home the moment we arrived and felt sorry we had to leave

The value for what I got was great.

The breakfast was good. The location was within walking distance of one of the places I specifically came to see.

The upper rooms are somewhat warm and I could not adjust the temperature which would have been helpful after walking 10 miles that day.

Very disappointing stay at Hotel Novum Bruy

We had a very poor experience at Hotel Novum Bruy. There was no air conditioning, even though the temperature reached 35°C – making it nearly impossible to sleep. There were also no fans or any form of ventilation provided, which should be standard in such extreme heat. The room itself was worn and outdated, and did not meet our expectations at all. Overall, a truly disappointing stay, and we won’t be coming back.

It was spacious, the breakfast was not poor. Beautiful reception, bathroom.

We came by car and there was no free parking, we had to park on the street where there is paid parking. So we had to drive everywhere and come back at a time when parking is free.The whole hotel is such a maze, very bad orientation.

Disappointing to say the least

The room was clean. It had minimal furniture which is ok. The television worked fine. The bathroom was fully renovated. The external shutters opened fully.

Well where do I start. I have mentioned all of the good things above. I guess you get what you pay for. The room was cheap. The amount of internal hallway doors you need to open is a joke, we had 3 heavy glass doors to open to get to our 2nd level room (202). There is NO air-conditioning even though the room has a keypad/sensor pad to indicate the room could be cooled but it was not to be. The room was 27.9 degrees (the sauna) when we entered and it did not cool past 24 degrees. I went to reception to get a fan which they gladly supplied BUT it was noisy and I had to turn it down and stick some cardboard in the back to stop it rattling so I could sleep. The bathroom was beautifully renovated BUT when you sat on the toilet, the toilet seat closed on your back. They have installed the toilet too close to the wall, the toilet seat cannot fully open. The shower rose is installed in the corner instead of straight on, making it difficult to shower. The pillows were so thin I had to fold it to get a decent pillow. No extra pillows to swap it out. There is NO fridge, even if we did buy cold water we could not keep it cold. The bed was hard and uninviting. Parking is a joke at 20 euros per night. The booking.com site should have a $ on the parking symbol to clearly indicate at first glance that you have to pay for parking. I parked on the street for 0 euros. Breakfast was adequate but not a huge selection and we got out of there onto our next destination as fast as we could. I would not recommend this to elderly travellers or even travellers with minimal expectations (especially on high temperature days). I don't have high expectations all round but this is definitely a "you get what you pay for" occasion.

WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!! I booked 2 rooms for 4 people. We checked in with no problem, 4 people, they confirmed breakfast is included. When we went for breakfast they tell us it’s only 2 people allowed to have breakfast. They told us to pay additionally for 2 people and started shouting at us. !!! Imagine the woman at the reception and the manager shouting at us that we have to pay for 2 breakfasts as according to them it was not included in the booking. Worst customer service ever!!! Never stay at this hotel, go anywhere else, just avoid this at all costs!!! On another note, also the rooms are not clean, there are no curtains. The pictures look very different from reality!

Bed and bathroom were clean, which were the most important points. Location was not bad as it is easily accessible by car and public transport. Some staff members were friendly.

Although booking.com said in advance that the price included everything, we had to pay extra for our dog. It was 15 euros per night, which we consider to be very expensive (other hotels might charge five euros per night, others nothing at all). It would have been the least for the hotel and/or booking.com to give a heads up about this. Additionally, the staff member that checked us in was kind of passive-aggressive and aloof right from the beginning. We didn't feel welcomed checking in – at least the other staff members we came across during the following days were friendly. Tap water in the bathroom was only available in warm and luke warm – no cold water. The carpeted floor in the room was not very clean and the desk had accumulated some dust. The interior design of the room was a bit bland, but okay. The pillows were horribly soft and out of form.

clean, functional, close to Porsche museum and easy access from the highway

15€ per day for the parking is quite high. The neighborhood is awfully sad, no good restaurants within walking distance.
