The hotel is in a fabulous location for summer, when Paris can be hot as it was this summer. The slight breeze off the Seine was lovely, and the evenings were quiet because Isle St. Louis is small enough not to have much open in August. The staff is excellent, trying very hard to please. The space is charming. Local restaurants—not corner ones—can be like eating in a french home. The amenities include nice hand cream and lip gloss.
The rooms are very tiny for the price. And this being a tourist area in summer—any locals have mostly left for vacation—the crowd is almost all Americans with a few from other countries. The coffee at breakfast left much to be desired.
