Charming Place to Stay

Friendly staff, spacious, well furnished, comfortable room, decent cooked breakfast included. Also had an enjoyable dinner with work colleagues and a bit of time in the bar by myself.

I really enjoyed my stay and will be booking to stay again.

Dinner was delicious. Nothing was too much for the Staff - I wanted something spicy and I got Tabascco - my favourite lol Breakfast was really good! Again - nothing was too much for the Chef! I luv the atmosphere and deco. The room - was very comfortable. I was able to adjust the temperature (cooler) as due to my age - I get hot at nights! lol and this was definitely a bonus. Loved the shower too.

There was so noise from the neighbouring room however this did not last long.

Lovely stay, lovely area.

Had a fabulous 2 night stay. Shepherd's hut was cosy and homely beautiful views. Gorgeous local walking trails.. Food in the pub was outstanding and very competitively priced. The staff were attentive and professional. Didn't want to leave and will definitely be back.

Very minor points. the logs were too big for the hot tub so took a long time to get it up to temperature. Probably be fine in the warmer months. Maybe an additional question of guests check in times and use of hot tub could have the fire started before arrival? Happy to pay a little more.There is nothing to cook on in the hut so worth noting. A small hot place would be a good addition for those late night munches and fresh milk in the fridge. Nothing to stop us returning.

Our usual place to stay in the area when visiting family

Pub is lovely, ample parking and the room quiet and cosy.

The bathroom is now looking rather tired with the grouting looking dirty and the showerhead needs a good clean. It wouldn’t stop us staying again but think the owners need to just look over the bathrooms. Otherwise all good and clean.

We stayed in shepherd’s hut we absolutely loved it and definitely book again we had breakfast and dinner in the main pub area. The food is exceptional. The hot tub was amazing and relaxing just what we needed.

Great Inn wonderful accommodation gorgeous food and outstanding staff

Beautiful cosy Inn set in pretty grounds , the accommodation was much larger than expected and very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were wonderful . The staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for you , outstanding customer service.

The White Horse Inn was warm and welcoming and a nice mixture of traditional and modern

I stayed at the White Horse Inn in Eye for one night in October while completing the North Norfolk Coastal cycling route. The room was very large and comfortable. There was a large Smart TV and a lovely, clean ensuite bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable, a great selection of teas and coffees plus a Smart TV on the wall. Everything was tastefully done and spotlessly clean! I would definitely stay here again!

Very friendly pub. Our King size room, which was in a separate annex was extremely spacious, comfortable and quiet. Lovely clean bathroom. Food was great, good choice at breakfast and well cooked. We ate in the restaurant each evening as the menu was really good, including a lot of vegetarian options and not too expensive. The quality of the food was brilliant.

Great position and very welcoming.

Room was a good size and we opted for a king size bed which was comfortable. There are plenty of sockets in the room and 4 of them had usb ports as well. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, sugar and biscuits with more available upon request. I was very pleased to see the hair dryer and iron with small ironing board although I did not use them. The bathroom was a good size with a large shower cubicle. Toiletries were provided and the towels were lovely and soft. Our room overlooked the back where we could see the garden tables and the fabulous shepherds hut which we would probably opt for if we came back as they have wood fired hot tubs. Breakfast was included and it was a feast with various options from full english to buffet with croissants cereal and fruit or a lovely fluffy omelette. There was definitely something for everyone here. The staff are all very polite and helpful.

The shower was a fixed head at the top of the wall and as I didn't want to wash my hair I had to angle it towards the wall slightly and then lean back so my hair didn't get wet. Having said that the shower cubicle was large enough to step away from the water flow whilst soaping. Couldn't check in until 3p.m.

All of the staff were friendly and attentive ~ especially the young lady at breakfast. Lovely restaurant upstairs with excellent food and service! Our room was large with a lovely comfortable bed. Plenty of storage space in bedroom. Clean, soft towels and powerful radiator made bathroom cosy. Peaceful setting of the rooms and the Shepherd huts looked fantastic ~ would love to stay in one of those next time! The pub was comfortable and looked inviting.

The bedroom is so large that it would easily accommodate a settee or easy chairs as there was nowhere to relax properly. Coat hooks needed in the entrance hallway and in the bathroom. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. Breakfast wasn’t that good on the first morning (burnt omelette and toast) and there wasn’t a lot of choice of the continental breakfast. Some of the chairs in the pub area were dirty and uninviting.

The location was the main reason for staying as you can access the surounding area quit easily.

You had a great chose of food and if you had any special requirements this was accommodated.

A cute cosy relaxing stay

We were staying in one of the Sheppard huts and were walked to the Hut by an employee which was a nice touch, Breakfast was fantastic. The Hut itself was clean and tidy and had a nice little welcome pack.

A warm welcome, comfortable rooms and great food.

Stayed in one of the brick chalet rooms, very comfortable, great shower. Lovely welcome at reception and attentive service at dinner and breakfast. Food was very good. Safe place to store our bikes provided.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and in that area.

I think that the location of the hotel was was good it was in the middle of nowhere which I liked. The other thing I liked was that the straff was very friendly and and professional.

I don't think that there I would improve anything as the hotel was nice clean and tidy. The only thing that I did not like is people coud not take dogs in to the hotel, but there're people who are blind and use guid dogs. What about these people?

We had a very good stay, overall. The accommodation was fantastic, the food and service was superb.

Someone was available to meet us when we arrived and could give us our key immediately. Our room was a pleasant surprise and we were impressed by the size of the room and the wet room.

On arrival in our room we tried to use the air conditioning system but could not get it to work. We reported this to staff on duty but they were not able to repair it for us. This meant that we had to have our windows open to keep as cool as we could which, in turn, meant that we were not able to sleep as there were lots of people having loud conversations interrupting our attempts to sleep. The noises finally stopped around midnight. Although the air con appeared to work the following day, we could not get it to work later that evening.

Service with a smile

Such friendly and helpful staff, from the moment we arrived, fantastic first impression and it just got better. The food was really good and very reasonably priced. Service was of a high level, too. Our room surprised us next, exceptionally clean and comfortable with air conditioning that was very welcome on a hot day. The opportunity to park very near to our accommodation was a huge plus too. We will be back, highly recommended.
