Vila Marachique Torralvor

The condo is absolutely amazing! Nowadays it has a wonderful family running the bar area and you can really have an excellent time in there! The swimming pool is super big, restrooms are clean, and there is a lot of grass where kids can be playing! From all of the places we know in Alvor, this one definitely exceeds expectations! Particularly now since they have an Intermarche supermarket and a few restaurants just right outside the complex.

The apartment is great, but lacks some comfort in terms of having more furniture. For instance, it would be better to have 2 couches or more chairs to seat in living room area.... Once you turn the couches into beds, there is really not a lot of space for a family to seat around and watch a movie together. Another note on the specific apartment we stayed in, is that, the balconies are marvelous, but we were super disappointed with the lack of furniture... They only had a tiny small table with 2 chairs... For a family of 4, it does not allow you to be able to enjoy meals outside and/or to spend some time in the evenings comfortably reading a book, playing games, or anything else. In addition, in the bedroom balcony, there was no furniture at all!! I would just recommend to try to do some improvements on this.

The pool was amazing and very clean- a few parasol stands if you bought your own parasol. Great supermarket across the road. Quite a way into town but we coped!

Think it’s pot luck which apartments you get! We did ask for 2 ground floor ones together and they fulfilled our request ! The apartments were a good size, but pretty old and basic— missing knobs on cupboards and a shower rail fixed up wth paper! They were situated on the corner of block 9 near the road and was quite noisey at night with cars flying by, not much of a view see below! Hard sun beds around the pool- no seat pads in the apartment also no safe as advertised on B.C. Cafe food was basic and failed to find the chicken in the Chicken mayo wraps?? Can’t say I’d return, as I do not wish to stay in substandard accommodation that I’m not used to on my holidays!
