About this house rental
Medieval-style house located inside the ancient walls of Tossa de Mar castle. The house has 6 rooms with a total area of 250 m2. Located in the city center, 100 meters away from the large beach of Tossa and the beautiful cove of d’Es Codolar and its viewpoint.
The house has a patio area with barbecue, fully-equipped kitchen and a terrace with stunning views on the castle and on Tossa de Mar main beach.These views give us the answer of why so many artists, actresses, actors, film producers, painters, poets or architects were captivated by the charm of the picturesque town of Tossa de Mar.
The house on the ground floor has a large living room, 1 bathroom, 1 bedroom and a fully-equipped kitchen with direct access to the patio with barbecue area.
On the second floor there are 5 rooms with a bathroom and WC.
On the third floor we find an area to relax and chill with direct access to the terrace overlooking the castle and a direct loft from where you can see the magnificent views over the beach and the castle of Tossa de Mar.
The house is perfectly located so you will be able to enjoy a walk through the castle, the old town, take the opportunity to take a picture with Ava Gardner (the statue honoring the American actress, who fell in love with Tossa de Mar) or to climb up to the lighthouse Museum where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the Costa Brava and have a drink in the Museum bar with terrace. The amazing location of the house also leaves us near the small and beautiful chapel of the center, craft shops, clothing, accessories, shoe stores, beach items, ATMs, tobacconists, ice cream parlors, as well as near the bars and restaurants which are very romantic and they serve high-quality Mediterranean food.

Fun - loved the outdoor eating area and the rooftop.

This was our spot for six nights; four moms with our four teenage daughters, visiting Spain for the first time. We loved everything about it!
Finding the house was an adventure, with almost no directions to the house other than it was inside the 'castle walls' - which did narrow it down quite a lot - and the wrong house number...it took a little while to find but we eventually connected with Valeria. She gave us a quick lesson on how to use the keys to the front door...and that was that!
We all instantly fell in love with our mini castle - Six bedrooms, all with clean linens, two baths with showers, a nice kitchen, washer, rooftop clothesline, and a wonderful little restaurant right out the front door! By the end of the week, we were all friends with the waiters - Jemma and Mikey - they were stars✨ ...helping us out when we pulled the door shut without the keys!
There's an awesome little beach cove steps away, with a drink shack, umbrella and chaises for rent...the water is amazing....and our girls' loved cliff jumping....and we all loved the little hole we had to climb through to get to the beach.
The streets of Tossa are filled with friendly people, little shops, great food + drinks...Tossa de Mar was the perfect spot for all of us, but especially for our 17-year-old girls who felt safe and had fun exploring day and night.
It was very hot the week we visited...so we purchased and donated to the house, five plug-in fans, and that made all the difference.
Great spot! We would all come again and again if only we didn't live so far away. The casa was so authentic, but nicely updated and comfortable.... staying 'inside the castle walls' made for a very memorable stay.

Hemos pasado el fin de semana de fin de año en la casa. La verdad es que la casa dispone de todo lo necesario, es enorme, habitaciones amplias, terraza grande y chimenea en el salón. Ofrecen flexibilidad para la salida. Como única cosa a mejorar pondríamos una mesa grande en el salon. Todo genial. Volveremos.
