This vacation home offers ocean views and a secret hideaway in the 'tower' - a spot that's just perfect for kids to play (or if a parent wants a private reading space!). From the living room's large picture windows, guests will have a view of the waves rolling in. The outdoor deck (where the private gas grill is stored) is an ideal place to enjoy the breeze and the fresh ocean air.

There is a path to the beach two blocks from the house! Once out on the sand, you can stroll along the 10-mile stretch of beach admiring the rolling waves. Walk along the beach for a few minutes to the Surfside Restaurant (one mile away by car) for some fish tacos or stuffed French toast. Wander the galleries or stop by the Waterfront Depot for their famous crab-crusted halibut (just over six miles by car). Seeking adventures while on vacation? Visit the Siuslaw River with your fishing gear six miles away, or head out to the ocean for some deep-sea fishing - there are charters that leave daily right from the coast at Florence and Coos Bay. A short 27 miles drive south is the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, where guests can observe the ATVs and dune buggies navigate the sand.

This house was very unique and we loved it. The hot tub was great and the views were amazing also. The master bedroom king bed was sooooooo comfy. The room next to it the bed was a little squeaky. Kitchen was well stocked. I would suggest getting dish sponges unless I just couldn’t find them. And maybe all purpose cleaner for the guests to use. It was nice to have the toiletries in the bathroom like shampoo and soaps. I would also suggest getting screens for the windows downstairs. We loved the front gate, even though it’s not fenced in the property is very private and the yard seemed fenced with all the bushes and we appreciated that for the dog. Overall it was a great trip and we would recommend!

we love this home so much! Very precious. There is a rug in the game room/ master bedroom that definitely has animal pee in it and needs replaced.(we just rolled it up and stuck it in a closet during our stay) but other than that, it’s such a wonderful stay and so sweet!

This review is not about the property. Rather it is about the agency that manages the property. The last letter of VRBO is Owner. Renters need to be aware that this property is managed by a rental agency. I was fully aware of the cancellation policy when my wife injured her knee six days before our scheduled stay. I cancelled knowing I would lose the rent portion of our payment but was expecting a refund for cleaning and any breakage insurance that is baked into the rent. The folks I talked to explained that is not their policy even though no cleaning needed to take place. They also wanted to make sure I really wanted to cancel given there would be no refund. I did not feel I should keep the reservation and just not show up. This is the sort of situation where a discussion with an actual owner can reach a conclusion agreeable to both parties. The rental agency rep has no authority to reach a compansionate agreement where an owner might. Again I fully understood the rental policies but future occupants need to be aware that dealing with a rental agency is very different that working with the actual owner.

Great location. Good value for money. Cool house, would be a great place for kids... the turret is pretty special and has a nice view of the beach. Located at the end of the street on top of a hill, so lots of privacy. Very quiet. Hot tub is fantastic. Kitchen is well equipped. 5 minute walk to the beach, about 1/4 mile. Vacasa is great. You can contact them via text or phone anytime and they address problems quickly. Large organization, but they always have local employees that live in the area. The unfortunate: homeowner for this property is neglecting some maintenance.... It is a beach house, and beach houses (while full of character) can be a little rough around the edges. That's FINE and EXPECTED. What's not fine, is the smell in the lower level. It's obvious that this is something they are trying to mask, but it needs to be addressed. Very foul odor, mold-like, coming from the laundry water line. My suggestion would be to call a plumber and have the line cleaned, this would help.Also.... I've never seen a dirtier furnace/HVAC system in my life. It's a fire hazard. It needs service. It needs to be cleaned. Despite these problems (not doing laundry or running the HVAC during my stay) the house is a very nice place to stay!! Lots of room to spread out. Comfortable beds, nice view! The house is adorable.... but I was a bit disappointed with the shortcomings on the homeowner's side. I hope this review helps get issues addressed. :)

We loved the hot tub. We loved the view. We all slept well so good beds but one was very squeaky and I noticed a review from 5 years ago about a squeaky bed so no follow through. Old smelly rugs. Cobwebs above bed. Semi-equipped kitchen. So much potential. Hope it gets cleaned up.

We had a lovely time! The house was awesome, comfy beds, hot hot tub, great ocean views! Well stocked kitchen for cooking at home. Foosball table was a hit! The walk to the beach is easy and this part of the beach is very sandy and open. We really enjoyed our stay! 100% would book again!

We booked for 7 adults, the place was advertised to accommodate 9. There are only 3 beds available. There was metal one cot/frame in the bonus room, but it did not have a mattress, so we ended up having to purchase an air bed and pump. Owner did process a refund promptly, so that was very much appreciated. Furniture has seen better days, but it’s functional. The grill was accessible and nicely situated close to the kitchen. There were kitchen utensils and appliances available- they are all very well used but still works. There was a Keurig machine and a traditional coffee maker but only regular coffee and filters are provided. I didn’t expect the coffee provided, so it was nice to not have to buy it. Hot tub has little privacy from the street, but it’s a quiet dead end street. I think the goal was to keep the ocean view, but you can’t really see it from that angle. Driveway is a bit awkward, we had a large SUV and I would not have been comfortable with a second or third car in the driveway. The walk to the beach isn’t awful, but it’s not the most scenic either. Ocean view that was advertised is just meh- only viewable from the living room and turret room, but still nice to have. It was a cozy stay with enough room to have people spread out and have privacy when needed. It was a nice home base for the activities we had planned.

We really enjoyed staying here. There was 8 of us and we did have to blow up an air mattress in the living room for one couple but it really was a great weekend away from home. Felt very home like.

The house is close to a beach access. But the house itself is run down and dirty. The beds are so uncomfortable. The couches have gross covers on them and are so broke down they hurt your back. The dinning chair legs are wobbly thought they would brake. Foosball table legs are so wobbly thought it would brake. The shower control didn’t work and must have a tiny water heater. Only enough hot water for 2 people. No heat in the bathroom, it was broken. Windows are so dirty, and seals broken you can’t see out hardly any of them. The front burners on the stove don’t work. The only good thing was the location and they had plenty of towels.

The house smells like cigarette smoke, several of the lights in the kitchen lightbulbs are out, fireplace. Looks like it hasn't worked for years. There's been large holes in the walls that were replaced over and not painted.

The owners may be really nice people. They probably are. However, we rented this house due to location and specifically having a hottub which is listed in the title of the listing and mentioned repeatedly as a great feature of the rental. I would think twice before renting here and if you do, ask about the hottub before you go. Here's our experience: 1. First morning the smoke alarm went off in the lower bedroom when we turned on the heater. 2. The hot tub (major reason we chose this house) was not working and we got total runaround on when and/or whether it would be fixed. Then we were told that it is NOT an amenity despite being in the title of the listing (used to entice renters), there is a prominent photo of said hottub, and there are a huge number of positive reviews about using the hottub! 3. The home doesn't have garbage or recycling pickup so you end up saving up a bunch of stinky garbage that you then have to pay to take to the dump. 4. The house is not in great shape... holes in walls, dirty windows, broken cabinet in kitchen, window covers only on one window in the living room. All that said, it could have been better and the hot tub was a major issue that Vacasa exacerbated. Bad customer service. I am not a fan of Vacasa after this experience.

The hot tub was broken and it was 3 days before I got any information from VACAS rental company. They said it wasn’t listed in the amenities but it showed on Expedia. Half of the lights in the home were burnt out. One of the beds creaked so loud every time you moved even a little on it. The sheets wouldn’t stay on the bed. They kept coming off the corners. There was trash off the right side of the home down the hill. NOT what we expected.

We loved staying here! The hot tub worked well and the string lights were a lovely addition for night time soaks. My kids loved going up in the tower for alone time. The kitchen was a great size for us to make all our meals, and the games we found got lots of use. Many good memories made, and only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Thank you so much!

The house was practical for our family of four and small dog. The TV in the main room had really bad reception and constantly turned to static which was frustrating trying to watch the Olympics. The view of the ocean would be nice but the windows were so dirty you couldn’t see it. Otherwise nice kitchen and bedrooms.

We were so excited to get away and have a nice vacation, but there were issues at this place. The hot tub was empty. We were told it was out of service but the listing showed it as functional. The carpets were so dirty, I kept my shoes on. The cupboards needed wiped down. Some of the light bulbs needed replaced. The kitchen had no fan above the stove, and there were holes in some of the walls behind some of the doors. Not my favorite place.

We had a great time the house is a short walk to Heceta beach and it was wonderful. The house is very clean and had everything ww needed except food. We went to the old town city hall parking lot and watched the beautiful fireworks display they put on for the 4th of July. The house is a little old and has some creaky stairs but that was all part of our vibe. Our family is old and a few of us have some creaking going on so we fit like a glove. Thanks for letting us make some great memories.

Great place for a large family. We had 2 adults and 6 teenage kids. The house was great and the location was nice. Definitely recommend!. Kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of blankets and pillows for everyone.

My family stayed at this house over the Christmas 2023 holidays. When we arrived, we entered the door code from the welcome text. The house was super clean. All the beds were super comfortable and the bedroom Foosball table was fun to play. The king bed was especially good about motion isolation. Each bedroom had stacks of extra bedding which we found helpful. The temperature on the lower level is controlled by a thermostat in the kitchen. We were able to find a very comfortable temperature. The one bedroom with the Foosball table has it's own wall heater that's easy to use. The lower bathroom had lots of towels for showering. It also includes a washer, dryer, clothes hamper, and laundry detergent. From the pictures, we weren't sure if there was a toaster in the kitchen, but there's a pantry with lots of small kitchen appliances including a toaster and Keurig coffee machine. Upstairs, the beach view is amazing. There's a nice big dining table for family gathering. The downstairs bedroom TV has a firestick that was easy to use. The upstairs living room TV has an antenna for local channels. Overall, our stay was extremely comfortable. We would recommend this house to anyone wanting a cozy house with excellent beach access.

My friends and I needed a location to escape too, and play D&D. This was it. The house is just as advertised! Within walking distance of the beach, and driving distance from Florence. Just be aware, you definitely do have neighbors here! The only thing i can say was wrong with the place, is that there were no oce trays in there. We thought of bringing our own pots and pans, as that has been necessary in the past. But the fact they didnt have an ice tray really sucked and we ended up having to buy a whole bag of ice and putting it in there. Otherwise, this place is awesome and we're already talking about doing it again next year!

First off, there are a lot of reviews about this place being musty.... it's a beach house. That's par for the course. There is black mold on the ceiling but I'm not sure how they're going to get to that. I would recommend packing allergy medication if you're sensitive to it. This house lacks a lot of the owner managed touches you'll see in other vacation rentals, such as local recommendations booklets, home manuals,any directions really. The trash was completely full when we arrived which was incredibly frustrating for an almost weeklong stay for a family of 7. The foosball table is broken, i would recommend removing so you don’t have heartbroken kids continuously. There were plenty of spare blankets, but comforter spares were ripped - maybe from pets? Some outlets were broken, crayons on some walls,knives were completely dull and useless, and you'll gind yourself going to the store continuously for basic household supplies. I don't anticipate the rental agency fixing these issues because you can see this has been a theme of complaints for years. We bought a bunch of buckets for clammers and crabbers, steel wool, and some other necessities - we'll see if they end up remaining at the house for other families. It has alwayd seemed to be an unspoken rental rule we just leave a bit for the next family to enjoy. This house looked stripped. The king bed was also broken. Again, this has been a continuous complaint by users. Now the good - location and plenty of room for fam

Overall this was a fun house to stay in for a couple of nights for our family of four. enough rooms and beds for everyone and then some, the foosball table and hot-tub were a hit, a short walk to the beach for walks, and a short drive to town for restaurants and more.

We were quite disappointed in the condition of the house we rented for the weekend. First off when entering the house the air was quite stale, we had to open the doors and windows to air out. We were told via phone the house was ready for us but less than two hours later when we arrived the trash can outside was turned over and garbage spread around the drive way. Inside we discovered the glasses and cups were put away dirty and we had to wash them before usage. The carpet was also dirty and the couch covers were not even smoothed out, looked like someone has been sitting on them and left them wrinkled. Not what you would expect for the money we spent to rent this house for the weekend.

This place was perfect for us. We could see the ocean, our dogs loved it, and it as a 2 minute stroll to the sand. The hot tub was clean and welcoming, not always the case in a rental. We'll be back for sure!

We loved the home it was a beautiful place. However we did have a few issues or items that needed addressed and need to be brought to the companies attention. There were a few selection of ways to make coffee but no actual coffee pot that worked. We brought this to their attention and they brought us one right away. Does not shut off automatically so be sure to shut it off. 😉 There are very few cups and a couple that had broken handles. Not a very big glass selection for small kids but beautiful wine glass set. One step leading to the upstairs has creaky loose boards and there are 2 hand rails that need attention. The second from bottom and second from top are both loose. Bed in master has a broken center leg so bed sinks in slightly. Comfortable to sleep on though. Also back door and sliding glass door were both unlocked upon arrival. Trash can for outside was missing but possible that the bear drug it down the hill. Now for all the good! This home is very beautiful and in a great location. Close enough to beach that there is not only a gorgeous view from the tower and but also the front window. The walk to the beach is only minutes away and a quiet walk. Beach area itself is a good location on the beach with nice sandy area. Kids had a great time building a sand castle. Hot tub was nice. Movie selection was very limited as it had DVD player but vhs movies. LOL I would definitely stay here again. Enjoy and relax!

A truly unique home! Great kitchen for cooking delicious food together, an easy walk to the beach, incredible view from the living room and a sweet nook for reading in a turret! All topped off by the large hot tub for those chilly costal nights! I would stay at the Spur again!!
