Get away from the hustle of everyday life with a visit to this gorgeous updated retreat house nestled amidst 40 acres in the George Washington National Forest. With over a mile of Jackson River frontage in the exclusive Queens Grant Waters area, this property is a fisherman's paradise. Just a short 10 minute ride brings you to a multitude of river access ramps (for boats, canoes or kayaks) and the Jackson River Scenic Trail, additionally, you're only a 20 minute drive from beautiful Hot Springs, VA, home to The Homestead Resort.
With 3 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and an additional sleeping area, this home can comfortably handle 8 occupants.
The home is a quiet and somewhat remote retreat, as such, the only cellular service that works is Verizon. We have just added high speed internet to the house with free WIFI for guests!

The perfect weekend getaway! The house is beautiful, clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make all of our meals there. The setting is peaceful, serene and secluded. It really felt like our own little paradise. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a break from the grind of every day life.

This place is a true gem! We couldn’t ask for a better location being right on the Jackson River and minutes from Moomaw. The house was great, tons of room and very cozy. We especially loved the outdoor porch/fireplace. You won’t regret staying here. Thanks so much for sharing your little slice of heaven!

The property itself needs no review: the location is in one of the most scenic and recreation rich locations in the entire state of Virginia. Any avid outdoorsmen will find plenty to do here whether it be fishing, hiking, bird watching, hunting or kayaking. What makes this property a notch above the rest is the level of service and the community.
Prior to arriving, I had a last minute Amazon purchase I needed to make that would not arrive in time at my residence. As I have done in the past, I would ship it to my vacation destination. Unfortunately the property does not have mailing service so the package could not be delivered. When I was notified online that the package has been reclassified as "return to sender", I resigned that it would not be delivered. One day after, the groundskeeper took the time to drive to the property to tell me that his mailmen alerted him that there is a package waiting for me at the post office!
It is certainly a testament to not only the property host, but the community at large when everyone along the chain from the post office clerk, to the mailman to the groundskeeper go beyond what is typically asked of them to try and get a packed delivered to a vacationer when they could have simply took the easy route of not letting me know and kicking back the package to the sender as undeliverable.
If you stayed and vacationed at any major US city, do you think anyone along the chain I described above would have done what these individuals did? This is true small town hospitality!
A lot of good family memories were made staying at this location!
