Significantly overpriced for what it offers. Still an okay place to stay.
I was charged almost $9k for six nights, which is obviously a fair amount of money given it was over the New Year. When you compare it to what was offered in terms of the room and the facilities, it was severely overpriced and overvalued, especially in terms of the service. Service was extremely poor. The staff were not rude per se, but they were definitely slow… to the point where you thought they almost forgot about you.
Quite a few things to be honest but I only compare it to the $9,000 price and what I got in return. Overall it was okay but it was not worth $9,000 for six nights. It was severely overpriced for what it was. For that type of money I was expecting an outstanding breakfast and it was mediocre at best, along with great service and a really nice room. All I got ready was sub-par.

A well-located hotel with great potential, but serious service and management issues that negatively impacted the stay
The location is excellent, with a beautiful ocean view and convenient access to Copacabana beach. Some staff members were polite and tried to be helpful despite the overall situation.
Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the standards expected from a Fairmont property. There were several service failures during my stay, including issues with room readiness, delayed responses from staff, and a general lack of attention to guest concerns. These problems caused significant inconvenience and frustration. Management later acknowledged the issues by email, confirming that the service provided was below expectations.

Dream Vacation
Number 1 is the service! We have booked an ocean view room with access to Fairmont Gold lounge and we’re upgraded to junior suite. Stunning views from balcony! I would like to point out Lucas and Thiago from Fairmont Gold Lounge! Those guys made me and my wife feel really special! It is a privilege for Fairmont to have them in the Team! Big Thank You!

Bad stay
Reception crowded, we wait for 40 minutes for to do the check in. Receptionist very impolite and nervous. Nobody appears to clean our room, I'd search and ask for help to people that was working outside of my room.
Everything, Good only food in the restaurant and superb view. Room service didn't answer anytime.
