Definitely mixed reviews on this one. It's a cheap hotel that looks like, and is run like, a cheap hotel. Overall I had a good stay, but there are some issues. Pros: it's very good value for Bangkok. The room has a good bed, good linens and pillows, the shower works well, there's a nice big fridge, the room is fairly bright, it's quiet, there are places to hang clothes and a wet towel, and the internet is very reliable.

On the negative side, the room was definitely in need of a facelift, and was quite dirty. There's mold on the bathroom ceiling, and real filth on the headboard and under the bed (pictures attached). The hotel doesn't offer bag storage before or after checkout. It's only possible to have one device connected to the wifi at a time—I was solo so it was OK, but it would be a real inconvenience if there were two of you. They charge an additional fee if you pay by credit card, which in general would be OK but they slipped it in when I was checking in despite my having asked about it online earlier. There's a non-negotiable 500 baht deposit due in cash at check-in, which is a nuisance if you're leaving the country the next day as I was and didn't want an extra 500 baht. There are a lot of rules and a lot of "DON'T DO THIS" sort of notices all over the property, which suggests they have get an unruly sort of guest, or simply don't trust their guests. Some of the staff were friendly enough, but a few were very standoffish and distant. So in summary, if you're OK not expecting much it's quite a decent place to stay, and despite the issues I mentioned I didn't have any real issues and had a fine stay. But I'm not sure why so many people have given it such a high rating.
