We had an amazing time at this Croatian accommodation! Everything was top-notch, from the immaculately clean rooms to the exceptionally friendly service. The pool was a refreshing delight after a day of exploring, and having convenient parking made our logistics so easy. A special shout-out to the wonderful owner who went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. Five stars all around!

Unpleasant

I arrived at the property based on the time agreed with the host . The host was not available . I had to wait till 01:00 am the following morning of the next day. I sent several messages and calls but no response. I only got a response after booking.com called the host who arrived late but won’t allow me to check in as he requested I must pay him a deposit of 200 euros only in cash. It was cold outside and there was no ATM close by, I was also not informed about this in advance. He refused to allow me in until I pay the money. After calling booking.com again and several plea, he later asked me to check in but need my passport as guarantee despite being late by several hours.

worst accommodation I’ve ever booked through Booking

This was hands down the worst accommodation I’ve ever booked through Booking. Upon arrival, I was asked for a €200 cash deposit that was never mentioned on the listing. When I refused (who carries that much cash for a one-night stay?), they insisted I leave my ID instead — which is completely unacceptable and possibly illegal. Only after I said no again did they suggest that I could skip both if I left a “good review”. This felt manipulative and dishonest from the start. The apartment itself was NOTHING like the photos. Small, dirty, with stained sheets, a cold and uncomfortable atmosphere, and a general sense of neglect. They advertised it with a balcony and a pool — there was no balcony, and the pool was completely empty and unusable. I felt tricked and trapped.

A nice place to stay in family close to Split with a perfect swimming pool for hot Croatian summer

We loved the location (perfect to wander around Split if you have a car), the quietness of the building, the kindness of the hosts, the equipment against mosquitos and the fact that we can use the swimming pool and the barbecue. The flat we had was big enough for 4. To answer some comments we read about this accommodation: yes the end of the road is narrow but you must get used to it when you come in Croatia! Several new buildings are now almost finished in the quarter. So yes it might not have been quiet during these constructions, but not any more. The swimming pool was respectfully used during our stay (no noisy group swimming during the nights!)

Equipments are OK but cutlery, plates and glasses are reduced to the minimum for 4. Our matress was larger the the bed, so it creates something not always comfortable.

Nothing, though Katie, one of the family members managing the property was friendly & personable.

Had a bad feeling as we drove through the graffiti-covered back alleys & past the graffiti-covered buildings approaching the accommodation and this only got worse when we parked in front of our accommodation. This was nothing like the pictures on display my on bookings.com and not up to a standard we had expected. Greeted by a man pulling on his singlet, and a woman who couldn’t speak English but she then found a younger woman, Katie, who was very helpful. Katie took us upstairs to our apartment and it felt like we were in a residential building in the slums. The room felt cramped, not clean, and the facilities and fittings were old and poorly maintained. The only sitting area was 2 old cane chairs between front door and kitchen. Katie also took a €200 cash bond from us. After discussions with my wife and the other couple travelling with us, within 20 minutes we asked for and were given back our €200 and we left to find better accommodation. Though we were not refunded anything, it was worth it to abandon our planned (and paid for) three-night stay. The next morning when I saw a message from the host in my app, I thought it might have been news on a possible refund for 2nd & 3rd nights. But no. It was a request from host to empty the air-conditioner bottle in our room into their swimming pool. Seriously. Have screenshot of conversation it you want proof. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Not even suitable for backpackers on a budget. Would rate it 0/10 if it was possible. Never stay here.

Very welcoming unobtrusive hosts, contactable throughout stay & collected us from airport. Host able to converse with us too even though we speak no Croatian. Host let us in to our room earlier than usual due to our early arrival too. We were a family of four (two teenagers) & had pool to ourselves, weather & location good, great value for money, beautiful beaches, walked everywhere, very friendly 😀

There was some building going on in surrounding properties which was noisy at times, we did not know about this prior to our stay. No fault with our hosts or accommodation. Our daughter's did comment on a full length mirror would be nice in the apartment somewhere & also a small sofa could be added as there was room in the hallway but these are just suggestions to make the stay even better not criticisms as we had a lovely time didn't want to go home!

Superb

Great location with plenty of amenities nearby, good restaurant at the bottom of the road. There was 5 of us and we needed an uber van to the city at an average price of €13. Our apartment was Hugh and the pool was great.

Hard to get an uber back out so make sure you get a drivers number

Worst stay ever

I liked getting out of there in the morning.

We traveled to Split on business and arrived at the apartment, as we announced, shortly after 9 pm. Since no one answered the knock, we called the number listed on the property booking page, and only later we noticed that the phone number listed to call the apartment located in Split in Croatia belongs to contact in San Antonio, Texas, in US! Furthermore, if you would like to rest and sleep, avoid this apartment. Nowhere on the property booking page did it say that this was a party house, but that was exactly what was going on all night, until 6 in the morning when we had to get up for work. Noise, shouting, banging with the doors, pounding in the hallways all night. Unless you are a masochist, avoid at all costs.

A very lovely experience and we would love to return again some day.

Our host was so kind. He speaks German, Croatian, and broken English. He offers a taxi service during the stay for a fair price and his wife taught me how to use the washing machine. They offered us coffees in the morning as well which was extremely kind and thoughtful.

The location is in Podstrana and not in Split which was a bit confusing on the booking location description. The cities are next to one another and easy to travel between but not the same.

Awesome customer service, nice view of the beach, awesome pool, sanitized rooms, and affordable.

What I enjoyed most about my stay at the property was the hosts customer service and the view next to the ocean.

What they could improve on is having a foreign travel wall adaptor available for American guests. This will be helpful as I saw a lot of Americans stay at this place and they can expect more in the future.

Excellent location with free parking (only 15min drive from central split) Great value for money ( I am here off season and it’s €24 a night!) The hosts were lovely Clean

Do not follow the gps! The location for some reason takes you upto the bloody mountains! Could do with adding a few basic extras such as shampoo , big towels etc
