Villa Aurelia - guesthouse Le Case di Aurelia

Pool was delightful albeit very cold. The villa was lovely and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. It was within walking distance of a big supermarket and a few restaurants which we found near the Grotte. We did not go into the town as we did not have a car. The bus stop to Alberobello and Locorotondo was also near to the villa. Sofia was just amazing and was always on hand if needed and even took us to the supermarket on our arrival.

No air con in the bedrooms and only one fan between the 2. Very complicated recycling rules and no basics ie, bin liners, washing machine powder, washing up liquid and only 1 toilet roll per wc. The pool area was quite overgrown and sun loungers were uncomfortable (needed a mattress of some sort). Mosquitoes were a massive problem to us and we were all bitten badly. Probably not the villas fault but mosquito nets to windows (given no ac in bedrooms and therefore unable to open windows) and beds might be a good idea. Maybe cut back vegetation around pool might help with this problem too.

Really beautiful, spacious villa. Very comfortable and well equipped. Gorgeous grounds. Swimming pool was perfect. We used the BBQ every day. Was a great base for exploring Puglia. We used the bus rather than hiring a car and it was so easy and very cheap!!!

Absolutely beautiful villa with an amazing pool. 3 of us have honestly had the best holiday. Sofia was very kind and gave as much information as possible and stayed in contact with us throughout the week if we needed anything at all. Sofia also put us into contact with a fantastic driver for our transfer. Villa is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We cooked a few meals at the villa and the kitchen is well equipped. The only thing I would mention is that there's no air con in the bedrooms, but everything else was so, so perfect. I'll also note that we didn't rent a car, and the large grocery stores were only a short 12-15 minute walk away which was ideal for us to go every day. There are some really lovely restaurants within a 5 minute walk and the 'centre' was a 20 minute walk.

No air con or fans in bedrooms, but we expected it to be hot anyway and the beds are very comfy, we slept well after the first night.
