The Old Post Office 23 High Street

Great location

Bathroom immediately off the kitchen. Damp smell. Front bedroom way too bright for sleeping with very bright street light shining through all night. This could be easily solved with decent curtains. Overhead glass fronted kitchen cupboard too heavy, awkward to open and impractical. The crockery would be much easier to access if it was put in the empty easy to access cupboard space in the kitchen.

We loved this place! The first picture here is of the pebbledash front, and it can be off-putting - don't let it deter you! It's the most amazing street with fantastic, beautiful houses, and this place is right in the middle of it. Opposite an ice cream shop and cafes, so close to the shop and a 2-min walk to the beach and the pier! My son could run back from the beach to use the bathroom and be back so quickly! The area has fantastic cliff walks with the most incredible views, and honestly, it is the prettiest of villages; I fell in love with Cemaes. Everyone is just so friendly. The house itself is cosy, but big enough for a family of 3-4 and a dog. It doesn't have a dishwasher but has everything else we needed to cook almost every night, including an air fryer. If you don't fancy cooking, there's a chippy a minute away. It is clean and mostly nicely decorated. The wifi worked well. I came with two young boys and they hugely enjoyed being able to go to the playing fields by themselves as the roads are so quiet. There is a footy 5-a-side/basketball pitch and absolutely stunning playgrounds for younger and older kids.

There isn't any designated car parking. We were lucky there was a space in the parking bay opposite when we arrived, so we could unload, and we did the same at the end of the stay (the parking bay tends to be empty in the mornings). Otherwise, the car was parked in a free car park behind, which has a lot of spaces and is very, very close.

Close to great fishing

Location good. House good generally. New towels were on the beds. Easy walking to the pier and beach - lovely harbour. This is a pleasant house to stay in and a good location with access to shops on the street and all in walking distance - superb ice cream/milk shake shop opposite !!

It was let down because on arrival it appeared the cleaner/change-over person had not finished - there was a bag of rubbish by the bin, waiting to be taken - it never was. There were used towels on the floor by the shower tray, as if waiting to be taken - they never were. The bathroom radiator brackets are not screwed into the wall properly and therefore the radiator is loose. There are two cracks in the kitchen wall cabinet glass.
