The location was fabulous. I travelled alone with a 6 and 1 year old and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely be recommending.

Location was 10 mins walk from the train station and close to the coastline. Beautiful Road, peace and tranquility. Was lovely to enjoy the quiet nice at night. Anne and Robin were lovely and so helpful. Gave me tips on places to see and good cycle tips. They were kind enough to lend me a bike for 5 days. Loved it and would happily go back. A little old fashioned but to be honest I liked that as it’s a cottage.

Da wir alle paar Jahre nach Ayr fliegen, kannten wir unser Umfeld und Gegebenheiten. Die Zugverbindungen sind TOP. Bus und Bahn immer pünktlich. Die letzten 400m konnte man gut zu Fuß in die Unterkunft laufen. Da wir erst spät ankamen, haben wir beim Verwalter zwecks Schlüssel geklingelt. Das Paar Annie und Chris waren sehr nett und behilflich und hießen uns mit Milch willkommen. Ein sehr nettes Paar! Das Haus liegt nahe am Stadtzentrum und überall kleine Cafès, Restaurants. und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.
Leider hat es mit der Sauberkeit in der Unterkunft nicht so geklappt. Uns war bewusst, dass das Woodcraft Cottage ein altes Haus ist und sehr rustikal wirkt. Wir mögen den Charme, jedoch lagen noch Wollflusen und Hundehaare auf Teppich und Couch verteilt. In der Küche wurde noch schnell mit Lappen gewischt. Besteck und Gläser im Schrank waren noch dreckig/ schmierig. Spülmittel gab es nicht. alte Haare lagen noch in der Wanne und Waschbecken. Spinnweben hingen in jeder Ecke. Ansonsten war alles vorhanden. Moderne Heizungsanlage, WLAN, kleiner Wintergarten mit Gartenstück.
