Cottage Uylenhorst, De Witte Bergen 34

Very easy to access the cottage upon arrival, we had been given the code to the lock box in advance of our arrival. The cottage's interior decor was pretty up to date and well represented by the pictures we had seen beforehand, situated in a beautiful, tranquil natural setting. The special bed on the landing was a favourite with our youngest son. The bathroom was a decent size and had excellent water pressure, plenty of towels for all 5 of us. Comfortable beds. We liked the French double doors that opened onto the patio, without anybody overlooking you. Good size dining table.

We would have liked a 2nd toilet in the cottage, in particular upstairs near the bedrooms. The bedrooms were a little on the small side and looked more spacious on the pictures: in particular, we would have liked the bedroom with the 2 single beds to have been more spacious, especially if you have older and taller children who want a little bit more space between the beds.

We hebben het enorm naar ons zin gehad in dit prachtige, heerlijke huisje! We hebben heerlijk bij het houtkacheltje gezeten en ook van de fijne, grote eettafel heerlijk gebruik gemaakt. Rustige ligging op een prettig kleinschalig parkje, veel privacy. Sfeervol ingericht en echt alles wat je maar nodig hebt is aanwezig. De eigenaren hielden een heel fijn contact via Whatsapp en hadden voor ons bij aankomst iets lekkers in de koelkast gezet! Wat fijn dat jullie zo'n heerlijk sfeervol plekje delen met iedereen die er gebruik van wil maken, voor ons was het fantastisch!

Very pretty cottage with a well-equipped kitchen and a working fireplace, located in a community of similar cottages in a forested area. Ideal for a calm and quiet vacation. We stayed there for five nights over Christmas and the hosts kindly (and unexpectedly) decorated the cottage for the occasion.

The bedrooms are on the first floor and accessible via a steep and narrow staircase while the only toilet and bathroom are downstairs. This arrangement is not ideal if you have elderly people with you (80+ in our case; we should have anticipated better).
