La Roca Rara - 8 Bedroom Villa

We expected a lot from La Roca Rara, having pored over the pictures and read uniformly positive reviews, but it was even more than we had hoped for. Online photos don’t capture the view, the nighttime lighting, and there’s not even a mention of the two extra guest toilets. V well equipped kitchen, quality toiletries and bed linen. Tennis rackets, lots of pool towels and beach towels supplied; the pool is a worthy focal point at times when it is too hot to go out. The whole villa and grounds are very well maintained and clearly superbly managed by Gill and Derek, who are pleasant, non intrusive yet there if you need them. Once of the two chefs they recommended, Sharon, did a splendid catering job for us the evening we arrived. La Roca Rara actually represents good value given all that it provides. Ideal for a large group.

Nothing at all that we didn’t like, just a couple of things to bear in mind. Main living area doesn’t have air con, but it’s the size of a hotel lobby and doors tend to be left open anyway, so not really a problem. Air con in kitchen and bedrooms is good. Also, one definitely needs a car/minibus to go anywhere.
