Villa Zazil-beachfront home with pool and pool bar and internet included

The reviews for this property seemed too good to be true but now that I’ve stayed here, I see they are accurate! The grounds have several delightful seating areas, the house is spacious and well-lit, and Xama and her family are amazing. My only suggestion would be more dish towels and hot pads in the kitchen and maybe better/more silverware. But those things were definitely not a deal-breakers - I would love to stay there again!

The outdoor space and location of this house is EVERYTHING! We just spent a week at Xama's lovely place in Telchac with our 2 kids (22 and 17) and my son's best friend (18) for their high school graduation gift/trip! There was so much to do at the house...swingball, swings, pool, hammocks, ocean right there!, kayak. We kayaked in the Gulf almost daily! Our kids had the best time! The second story patio deck is everything! My husband and I would spend hours out there enjoying the view and relaxing. It was amazing! The house is nice inside and has everything you could need. Roku's in each of the 3 bedroom TVs was a nice touch with teenagers. A few little quirky things with the house but nothing you can't live with. Water pressure is not the best and there is no "living room" to gather in...but that's what the amazing outdoor living space is for! You are in a tiny, non-touristy town that is perfect if you want to get away and decompress. Local restaurants close pretty early in town. Xama's parents even brought us homemade flan to enjoy!! Overall, it was the best vacation!

This house and location is so wonderful for quiet vacation....for just you, for friends or for family. My friends and I didn't want a tourist place with a lot of people, and it was perfect. Sunrise and sunset over the water every day, just breathtaking. I would recommend food shopping in Progresso or Merida, there is no grocery store close by, just little market with very basic minimal things. Two restaurants within short walking distance, otherwise the town is about 2 miles away, a car would have been helpful. Zazil set up fishing for us and it was so much fun, he even made us ceviche right on the boat with the fish we caught. So good! Zazil's parents were on property a lot of the time we were there and they are lovely, brought us homemade food and gave rides to the airport. Really appreciated their hospitality. I look forward to when I can get back to Villa Zazil

We had the best time staying at Xama's property for 3 weeks from Dec-Jan. Our kids loved the yard with the swings and playhouse. The pool was lovely. The beach is right there and it was perfect. Xama and her parents could not have been kinder. They learned that it was my youngest daughter's birthday when they were there and even ran out to buy her a present. I really recommend this house and Telchec Puerto in general for those who are looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation at a great price. It is a very low-key environment, so if that is your style you will love it.
