Landgasthof-Hotel Hammermühle

Gutes Frühstück und gemütlicher Biergarten.

Der Landgasthof Hammermühle ist schön gelegen. Von dort aus kann man Regensburg, aber auch Straubing gut erreichen. Es gab ein sehr gutes Frühstück. Ansonsten wird alles frisch gekocht.

Ich hatte leider keine Gelegenheit die Küche des Hauses außer zum Frühstück zu testen, da ich zu kurz dort war.

Quaint location in beautiful surroundings. Good breakfast, excellent food for dinner. There's a little creek running by, some old trees around, it's generally a very serene location. Many hiking trails pass by just outside the property. Good shower, good bed, spacious room. Lovely Biergarten, that sadly, but understandably, was closed due to the weather. I had a rental car, but there is also a bus stop very near by with semi-frequent services to Regensburg. It's just a few minutes by car to the Walhalla monument, and about 20 minutes to central Regensburg.

The walls are fairly thin, but the few guests who were there were all quiet by 10 pm latest, so it was not a problem.

We liked the cosy atmosphere, warm and friendly service, the bubbling stream under the balconies with a mini-waterfall, walks around in the fields, Danube near, an outing to Walhalla. Good local food! A very nice experience.
