Unpleasant Experience with Host’s Behavior

Comfort bed

I booked this accommodation for a short stay, but unfortunately my experience was uncomfortable due to the host’s behavior. The host sent me excessive monitoring-style messages, reminding me repeatedly about being discreet and warning me not to let cats out. While I always respect house rules, I felt treated with suspicion rather than trust. Such behavior made my stay stressful instead of relaxing. The room itself was fine, but the attitude of the host overshadowed the overall experience. I hope future guests will be treated with more respect and trust.

A nice clean and quiet home style accomodation.

Location is a only a little way from the city centre, but you need to catch one of the very frequent and cheap trams (free on weekends). My room, one of two in the hosts house, was a good size and very comfortable. Plenty of power points. Kitchen area is shared with the host, Bruno, who was very helpful. It has all the amenities you need and space in the fridge for your food.

Getting stung by nettles near the front steps - my leg was sore for days.

Fascinating homely experience

A fascinating experience sharing the facilities with Bruno the owner and another guest. Bruno is a warm and charming host, with many skills incl playing the baby grand piano. He is obsessive about Bio goods so the breakfast was amazing and varied. He even cycled up in the rain to the organic bakery for bread and croissants. You must appreciate and relish staying in someone's home as we did to get the most from your stay.

Access was difficult due to roadworks closing the road. Not Bruno's fault! For future ref, the apartment is a little more cramped than maybe the description suggests, and the garden is now given over to growing veg. So no quaffing wine there as the sun sets!

Very good stay. It's convenient to get to the accommodation by tram. The bedroom is clean and the bed is very comfortable. The host Bruno is very nice.

Everything fine

Host tries his best. Offered something to drink, some fruit. Bed was comfortable. The room had a desk. It is like an airbnb - it is his home, you sleep in one of his rooms.

Had a wonderful stay at Chambres Zola, would love to come back in the future.

Cozy home in a great location. the bedroom was big and comfortable where I could relax after a long day of exploring Nantes. the host Bruno was wonderful, very friendly and fun. He helped me pick out some places to check while I was in Nantes. Plus he plays some wonderful tunes on the piano!

Well looked after by the owner who tolerated me arriving late (22:20). Great breakfast only 6€

The extra 10€ charge for the late arrival was the only option that might fit into this category.. the place was very tidy and the owner very communicative (with an English man!)

Bruno is very kind, accommodating and well-meaning towards his guests. The house is charming even if we did not have time to visit the vegetable garden. The location 3 minutes from the tram is very favorable for reaching the city center.

Worth my weekend stay!

I loved staying at Brunos - he's really kind and an amazing host. He offered my coffee both mornings of my stay with the most gracious smile and it was one of the best coffees i have had in all of France! He is very sweet and goes beyond his ways to make you feel at home - he is a great keyboard player as well! Totally going to stay at Brunos when I visit nantes in the future!

Traveller Beware

It's close to public transport.

To be charged a supplement for late arrival at a 26% rate ,although the facility was contacted before the booking in period .and the charge was made by the proprietor who lives at the property ,cramped environment, on exiting the room you are greeted with the proprietor who sleeps in the reception area. This was a night stay before an early morning flight.arriving by public transport on a National holiday.
