Sunrise Gurney

We booked for family of 6 in the loft apt on 21st June 2026 for 4 days. When we reached the unit, the whole unit was already cold. Maybe they left it on to cool down the unit since the weather was pretty hot that week. Place was clean, very big, spacious, bright and comfortable. The bed was very very comfortable! We spent most of the days outside and we came back in the afternoon well rested! The view was spectacular! The new park and we can see sunrise and sunset from the big clear glass window with no building in front blocking! It can be a little hot during noon since the view is open. Just slide the curtains close and on the air con. But since we were outside from morning till late afternoon so it wasn't an issue for us😊 Apt was a walking distance of roughly 5-10mins to Gurney Paragon Mall and Gurney Plaza. There's Marriot and Ascott just across. There's Coffee Bean beside Ascott building .There's even a Shell petrol station just behind since we rent a car for last 2 days to drive into mainland to visit a relative. There's Al Ikhsan sports store across Shell where you can shop. There's also 7-11 and Cafe like 5mins walk going towards Gurney Paragon Mall. Gurney is like in the middle where you can reach Batu Ferringhi beach or Georgetown about 20-30 mins drive depending on the traffic/road situation. We even went to Balik Pulau for ATV rides for the kids! Overall we enjoyed our stay in Sunrise Gurney Apartment! Kids damn well enjoyed a lot and they have already said they missed it and would like to stay again if we plan another trip to Penang!😄

So far there is only downside which is the sofa in the living room. Tend to slide downwards when we sat on it. Maybe the cushion is giving way. Carpet is abit itchy too. That's just all. This has got nothing to do with the apt but finding halal food around the area is quite hard. There is only one Mualaf eating place but it happened to close when we reached on Monday. We get to try their food for breakfast and their nasi Lemak is tasty and nice! But they have like split shift so might want to check on their operating hours.

Definitely the sea view and huge playground nearby, suitable for children to burn off their excess energy, and the strategic location there gives off a foreign vibe.

lack of indoor parking, the room aircond of 2 queen sized beds like having a timer, always off for 2 consecutive midnights.

Clean good and view awesome..all nearby facility.worth of money

Large, bright and clean with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Will definitely return.

Would have liked some cleaning supplies so we could have cleaned up better before leaving
